Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Thomas Cook ONLY

See you have posted twice on here Tainted and also opened a new thread - once would suffice! Seems to me you are being fobbed off however you will need to establish the reason for your delay as this will determine whether TC are liable. The fact that they are forwarding a £200 voucher seems to suggest they are liable thus compensation in accordance with 261/2004 is payable.
You mention a 'mumble' from the pilot ... any clues here? Manchester departures that day (flightstats is your friend) may indicate no other delayed flights that day as a result of airport problems.
Sorry for the double post accident, the pilot mumbled something like technical issues, the air hostess said a few things caused the delay one being the tug that helps move the plain had broken.
So what do I email them back would you suggest ?
Thanks

Well you need to try and establish what caused the delay. So start off with flightstats (register for free) and determine delays at MAN that day - if any - therefore establishing, in effect, airline were at fault. Technical issue/tug problem are TC problem and should not be yours. You can have one final try by letter writing once you have facts to hand - you will probably get fobbed off again so thereafter court action.0 -

A) Email TC and say I'm not happy with explanation, and belive you should supply more information on what caused the 4 hour delay, I know my rights and believe we are entitled compensation.Email TC same and above but mention the law for flight delays at we are unhappy that we have had no feedback on the particular delay causes on that day, and would like to take this further.
What would you do 111KAB
Please advise

The information should be on flightstats.
I have received your message and responded.
TC are likely to force court action upon you. I doubt a no win no fee will take on but maybe check with Bott & Co as I think this is probably the best way for you to go.0 -
I have filed a court claim for a delay with Thomas cook (after going down the usual routes with no joy!) and they have until tomorrow to respond. I haven't heard anything yet?
Is this usual?
What if they don't respond, can I ask the courts for judgement and send the bailiffs in, would love to see them go to Thomas Cook and strip their reception to pay my claim!!!
It just seems strange they haven't responded, unless it lands on my doorstep tomorrow.
Can anyone help/advise0 -

Yes quite usual and their papers may be held up in the court 'system'. Even if they are not, unfortunately, the court may take a relaxed view.
If you ask the court for judgement you may well get the result you desire but this does not permit you to put the bailiffs in ... there are a few steps required before you can do that!0 -
Can anyone help with a email for Christoph Debus the chairman of Thomas Cook Airlines?
I can't find anything on Google and I need to send my NBA or another email to send it to but not the customer relations email as I already have this.

Have received the usual TC email re 'technical' problems and therefore will defer until the outcome of the Huzar appeal etc- etc.
I have requested of TC their explanation of the nature of the technical problem and what they did to overcome it, but i am wondering if it is possible to get the logs of the event from the Airport directly or if the route to go is the CAA for further info.
The advice on here seems to be to hold off Court action in the meantime, as the appeal from Jet2 has effectively thrown the Huzar precedent into a situation where Small claims courts will defer their judgement too, awaiting the Huzar appeal outcome.Nothing to be gained in going to Court it seems at the present time, if your delay was due to technical issues that is. Any advice about where to get technical information from?
