Hi all,
I'm just looking at the posts and wondering whether anyone can advise us.
My husband, myself and 2 children (1 an infant) were due to fly to Vancouver in July 2011. Our flight was delayed by 5 hours. Originally, the crew/ground staff could not the cargo doors shut. This resulted in another plane being flown to manchester from another airport. Do you think I am able to claim?
As for proof, I only have my childrens boarding cards and a bank statement of the date the flights were paid for. Would these be any good?
Thanks

This is the auto reply I've just received from TC. We confirm receipt of your email to the Thomas Cook Airlines Legal Department. The investigations relating to you/your client(s) delayed flight takes approximately 6-8 weeks and we will duly respond to you at the earliest opportunity.
Kind regards

Maybe we'll know if Supreme Court will agree to Huzar Jet2 appeal by the time TC get round to replying!0 -

Well if the flight was over 8 weeks ago, the investigation should be concluded by now?
Or are you saying that an airline doesn't look into *why* there was a delay, until someone makes a EU261/2004 claim?
Utter rubbish.
NBA and court for you. Or let them play you about.0 -

My case is already with the Court. TC stayed the case pending the Huzar outcome which is why I have now written to TC and the Court to get the stay lifted and a hearing date set.0 -

Today? Huzar won his case on 11th June0 -
Question for our learned members on here- My case is stayed, not expected to go to the judge within the next 3-4 weeks after the lifting process.
From when the judge gets the information to him giving directions for a hearing how long before it is given a date? i.e to prepare bundles etc. I have not paid for a hearing yet or given a date.
Maybe, just maybe the judge may find in favour due to the Huzar decision without a hearing he as asked the defence for witness info etc and previous claims for this incident.Check out Vaubans Flight Delay Guide, you will be glad you did....:):)

Hi, I contacted thomas cook last year to enquire about a delayed flight in 2009, all I have is my card statement showing the payment to direct holidays. Thomas cook have said they have no record of me travelling at all and have told me to orovide the booking invoice from the tour operator.
The only issue is direct holiday is thomas cook and trying to contact direct holidays I just get sent to thomas cook.
I'm not quite sure how to proceed with getting more information on the flight as I don't have exact dates, can anyone suggest anything?0
