I'm not sure what an SAR is

Near the top right of most pages (white writing on a green background with a blue 'down arrow') is a 'search this forum'

Try typing SAR into there - also, read the FAQ's here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4421185
  • Thanks for your reply, not sure if I should challenge this or not.

Hi I just saw your post.

I was also on flight TC62 from Puerto Plata to Manchester on the 6th Feb 2010.

I also remember that they announced that one of the ladder vehicles had damaged the door when docking with the aircraft. This caused the flight to be delayed by nearly ten hours.

Have you had any luck with you claim so far?

I am just starting a claim of my own so I would be very interested to hear how you are getting on.

Feel free to send me a PM.

    Regards

    Roger

    EDIT:

Would also be very interested in hearing peoples views on whether the reason for the delay is something that could reasonably be put down as "extraordinary circumstances".

    Any opinions advice very welcome..

    Thanks
    R

Once again, this should be on the TC thread, not cluttering up board with your own thread.
However, if you paid anything for the child place, inclduing an admin fee, then you have paid and the compensation for 5 is due. Do a search on forum. I believe a Judge did agree with a claimant recently on this matter.

    Hi Karen

I've got no love for Thomas Cook but you seem to be gunning for the wrong airline here. I think the one you're after starts with the same first four letters but then takes a different flight path.

    Cheers

I have looked through the faq's and seen that this statement isn't valid - but are there any guidelines / templates on what to respond with?

This is the response from TC:

    Thanks :)

    Hi

OK then, SAR = subject access request. Is anybody able to point me to a standard letter template for an SAR to request proof that I was on a particular flight?

I'm seriously considering getting a no win no fee sloicitoir on the case. Is this a route that people have used successfully?

Plenty of links on MSE for an SAR template however pointless duplicating if you are going NWNF and yes considerable number of people have gone NWNF and several posts on threads in respect of one particular firm.
  • Hi there - new to this forum but have read up the guide etc and you guys have helped me a lot with everything on here! (thank you) Flight delayed over 4.5 hours Enfidha to Manchester 8/1/14. I sent the template letter - and received an offer for vouchers for over £1K this morning. I gather I don't need to accept vouchers so I am asking for a cheque instead.

Spot on Benjamino and nice to see someone doing the correct research. Remember just to keep a copy of the vouchers/covering letter as proof - enjoy your (legitimate) compensation.
