I'll guess that they might have just stuck an 'a' at the end of the flight number?
Sounds like a case of denied boarding anyway. Cut and dried if so.0 -
have already posted see 209 still waiting to hear from thomas cook re rejecting there extraordinary circumstances letter
however the flight on 04/05/09 from Antalya to Gatwick (flight was diverted to Stansted with the scheduled departure time of late afternoon. This flight arrived 15 hours late at Stansted0 4/05/09 on TCX57L.but cant find it on fightstats ? can anyone give me any advice ?0 -
Thanks for the comments. I will double check the flight number at home.
Should I keep trying to deal with TC or go to someone else now i've tried twice?
Thanks0 -

Write to the airline with your claim of 400 euros per passenger. See the FAQs for template etc and what to do if you need to go so far as court.
I just wanted that info as extra proof as clearly thomas cook are now not being forthright with info i was told the cockpit was cracked hence the delay however no proof of this we have been given the ext circumstances letter have replied wont except that excuse and waiting for the 21 days i have given for a reply that expires early next week .So want as much ammunition as possible
Thanks G0 -
hi hope you can help? can we claim ? do we claim thro cancelled or delayed form?
on returning from our honeymoon in mexico with Thomas Cook on dec 18th 2011 our flight back to gatwick was at first delayed for about 3 and a half hours , when we finally boarded the aeroplane , the pilot aborted take off after just getting off the runway .the plane was shaking and vibrating so badly that the pilot decided to land.
We then had to disembark the plane and had another lengthy wait in the airport without any reps there to tell us what was going on .
Later we were taken to a Hotel for the night on the same board basis ( all inc ) We were then phoned at about 7am the next morning to tell us we were being picked up from hotel at about 9 am , when we got the airport the flight was delayed yet again
I think in total we were delayed about 27 hours , when we got on the plane we were told by the pilot that they had engineers replace the front wheels because of the vibration.
Also I am self employed sole trader so i lost a days work ,so pretty much can we claim , what can we claim for and what evidence eg flight numbers , boarding passes , food expenses and loss of earnings0 -

Any posts regarding any other airline in this thread will be ignored (at least by me).

I've done a full forum search and can find no other info on flight TCX 2815. (before any sarcastic comments)
Wondered if anyone else had attempted to claim for the delay on this flight (Dalaman to Manchester 21/09/2012).
I am approaching the CAA stage of my claim which will be backed up with a letter to TC customer services (cc. Frank Pullman MD flight operations) informing them of my intention to instigate court action. The Frank Pullman letter may bear no fruit but for the price of a recorded delivery letter it will make me feel better and will in any case do a court action no harm as it will display my attempts to contact all at TC to give them the opportunity to address their responsibilities.
I'll let you know how I get on in the hope it may encourage others to claim what they are due.
Good luck all0 -

Thanks again0 -
In 2007 we had a delay of 6 hours from Paphos to Glasgow. At the time we received vouchers for 'meal', 4 euros per person. I spoke with a Thomas Cook rep at the airport and, we were being collected at Glasgow at 20.00 hours by my son who unfortunately couldn't pick us up at the revised time of 02.30 approx as he was on early shift at work. The rep. advised me to either book a taxi or book into a hotel and that I would be reimbursed. I booked a taxi which cost £75.00 as this would be the cheaper option. On arrival back in Glasgow I then claimed this £75.00 but this was refused. They more or less called me a liar as they said no rep. would advise me to do this. After numerous letters back & fro, I gave up. When I read of the new ruling I wrote again on three occasions, twice by recorded delivery, but to date no response. Where do I go now?0

Anybody who was on this flight which was delayed over 9 hours have any luck with their case?
I have sent initial letter and had standard fob off response and 2nd letter on 7 December 12 with Final Notice Before Action but received no response to it.
Think I need to go CAA / Court route now. I'm from N Ireland so need to investigate how the court system works over here for small claims.0
