Any posts regarding any other airline in this thread will be ignored (at least by me).
Not done this before so hope it's in the right place (apologies if not!)
We were delayed for 24 hours on a Thomas Cook flight to Mexico in June this year. The cause was a technical difficulty.
I e mailed the appropriately edited sample letter that was available on the MSE website to claim 12 days ago and received an offer of a voucher for £1040 the next day.
I subsequently sent a copy of the MSE sample letter via e mail saying the voucher was not acceptable and the next day I was e mailed an offer of a direct bank transfer with the relevant phone number to contact at Thomas cook.
I rang that afternoon and was informed the money would be in our account in 10 days. TODAY IT WAS IN. Thank you so much MSE :T:j:rotfl:0 -

They also said it looks like they are going to ask for it to be set aside how long does this even take to go in front of the judge days/months?0

Peterborough one is the one I've used and that one should be ok as this is the registered address but I think they have done this change of address so that they can say they have not recieved mcol papers there's no other reason why they would is there? Wonder if the judgement will be set aside I hope not
They did this to me one day before I was due to request judgement, thereby gaining a further 14 days, then defended. I've seen on here they've done it previously too. I sent all docs to registered address on their headed paper i.e. Thomas Cook Group UK Ltd in Peterborough, but they responded in acknowledgement of service that this is wrong (!) and that it should be Thomas Cook Airlines Ltd and gave their 'new' address at Bradford. Since then, they have passed the case to Trav Law.0 -
They know they can get away with it that's why why have time limits in place if no one sticks to them if it was me that forgot to respond etc the outcome would be diffrent it is probably going to be months before its seen now to see if they can be set aside0

Well...we've sent the NBA to Thomas Crook and no answer was received. Awesome. So now it's looking like its going to court. Will they grace us with a response now? Not holding my breath.
It frustrates me to no end that big companies like Thomas Cook jerk their customers around like this.
I wonder if it's possible to send a sign on delivery bundle with a copy of the MCOL claim to the customer relations team in addition to sending it to their registered office?
Also, if you look on their site under legal it shows Thomas Cook Retail Ltd and it's the Peterborough address. So perhaps Thomas Cook Airline Ltd has a different address? I did a search but didn't find anything to support this.0 -

Thomas Cook Airlines used to have their own customer relations team, which was based at the Hangar Manchesterter Airport, the department was then transfered to Bradford. Godwin Street, about 4 yrs ago, Godwin Street was closed a few months ago, transfering work to Birkenshaw & Falkirk, so this may be the reason for the address change.0 -
Just a note to say compensation in full has been recieved with regards to the above flight, Larnaca to Manchester at 5pm. We were denied boarding on this flight and were put on a flight to Glasgow at 2am the next day. We received all the usual letters from TC telling us we were not entitled to compensation but thanks to this forum we continued and got to the point where we sent a 7 day letter. We received a email from TC offering us £50 per person compensation but we didn't accept and replied saying we will continue down the court route and a week later someone called to say we would get the full compensation 400 Euro's per person and the money, £1755.00 would be paid directly in to our bank account in the next 10 days, which it was. I would now think anyone else denied boarding on this flight should get the full compensation. We couldn't of done it without the advice on this forum so THANKS!:T0
