Hey loving this thread, So I'm in. God you do have your husband well trained Mysk, mine doesn't even know where the washing machine is! Poor you chicky, I get like that a lot, my family haven't bothred to make the half hour journey to see me since November, you sometimes wonder why you bother dont you!
Well I'm a SAHM doing an OU course, I have a toddler and another one on the way. I managed to do pretty well after christmas and did a lot of decluttering but I'm struggling to stay on top of the cleaning, so I must start again tomorrow. If I do all the daily jobs the house pretty much stays tidy, but its just getting my !!!! in gear to find the motivation and enthusiasm to do them.
We have thick thick snow here in the east, it has been snowing for hours, heating is only working periodically so have the plumber coming out tomorrow.
Will post my to do list later, I find it really helps to have a list to follow and to write on a thread what I've managed to achieve.
Anyway, speak soon.
ps super well done on the not smoking djstar, two of my friends have just given up and have said how hard it is, so you're doing brilliantly.0 -
I really need to sort my clutter out. I really need inspiration as it is so difficult to know where to start!!0

Ladies, what have you done to me???? I have been lurking for a few days and have still not yet finished reading the thread but I just wanted to let you know what I have accomplished today
Cleaned all the fronts and inside of my kitchen cupboards.
Checked all the dates of my food in cupboards and wrote a list of what I have.
Cleaned out medicine cupboard (which is in the kitchen) and sorted all cook books.
Cleaned the top of the cupboards and sorted out what was generally a dumping ground. Now just has some nice tins or casserole dishes on the top.
Cleaned out my cupboard that has all the cleaning stuff in.
Cleaned my washing machine, filter and drawer.
Cleaned the bin.
Cleaned the floor.
Four loads of washing and drying.
Yesterday I also went through all my e-mails and had a huge declutter.
I am amazed myself as usually Sunday is a don't get off the couch day but this thread has really got me motivated.
I have also been creating a household planner so I have lots more on my list to do.
But I would just like to say :T thank you :T for this thread and I will stick around if thats ok

Whoah...!! This thread is almost inspiring me to get up in my loft! But to be on the safe side I'm going to start with a list and a plan. Work my way towards it.0

thanks for the hugs, and hi to newbies.
had quite a lot of snow here last night so getting down (or up, or sideways) my road with a buggy (or without a buggy) is a definite no no. arggg I've got cabin feever and cards to post - for once i am organised and the weather has put a spanner in the works.
so added to my to-do list.
18) ring school and tell them DS won't be going (they are the only one in the area actually open)
19) ring letting agency and tell them the boiler is leaking (thankfully still working but leaking!)loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Did car insurance. Admiral quoted us £926 (both cars) - 15min on a comparison website reduced that to £730 with.... Admiral!
Ludicrous.
Done now though. And I've done the washing up, tidied bedrooms, although I need to Hoover. Off to do laundry now.0 -
[STRIKE]1) Get kids to school if schools are open[/STRIKE] I have dd3 at home with me as she has a bad cough and cold and my older two didn't have to be in until 9:50 which has put me a lot behind today!
2) Make lunches for tuesday.
[STRIKE]3) Brother popping in to pay back money he borrowed.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]4)Pick up dd3 - others are at rehearsals.[/STRIKE] No need for this one now she's at home!
[STRIKE]5)help with home work.[/STRIKE]
6)Cook dinner - bbq chicken wraps with wedges and salad.
7)General after dinner clean up.
8) put dd3 to bed.
9) Have a bath or shower and do my nails.
As my friend couldn't make today due to this annoying snow I have also mopped my kitchen, livingroom, hall and downstairs loo floors.
Thanks to Jasmine - I am still smoke free so I am feeling good about things. Hello to the new people - I'm new as well but so far reading and posting in here has made the world of difference to my days0 -
wahoo a batman and robin cape made. I'll never win prizes for my sowing - esp with DS1 and 2 ontop of my the whole time, taking things, trying to kill themselves with scissors etc.
also 20mins of wondering why the threads wasn't working properly (it was the threaded wrong).
+ I can't find the pins and the fabric is shiny.
But............(and these look 200% better in the picture then in real life).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
