    Hi guys :)

Not been much snow where I live much to my little ones dissapointment. The weather people said there will be a lot this evening but they never normally get it right so I won't hold my breath lol!

Giving up smoking going very badly :o she says smoking a fag!!! So far I have tried giving up and not doing anything around the house etc and it has not been working as I'm getting too board so tomorrow I'm going to try a different tact and try and keep busy and get loads done.

Love reading all your posts, it's a very good motivation seeing what you are all geting done. :T Well done! Also thanks for that link for organised home, I think I may have been on there before but a very long time ago and I had forgotten all about it so I'm going to spend the rest of my evening ordering the tesco food shop and investigating that website.

But I've had a fab and rather crazy fun birthday :)
Oh dear I nearly missed your birthday. Hope you have had a fab day! :bdaycake:

Last drink on your birthday!
  • Hi guys
Sorry for lurking a bit recently - work has been a bit  for the last two weeks and everything's gone out of the window!
I did manage to get a Busy Life diary at Hobbycraft last week in the sale (who knew you could buy diaries there?!) so that's been helping to get me organised - baby steps!

I've decluttered more of the book shelves and hoping to sort out the magazine stash today.

Hope everyone keeps warm and enjoys the snow in their own way!

    L :)

    Hey All,

Feeling like i am falling off the train. Yesterday we played in the snow all day - Que 3 freezing children - spent extra monies on sledges! But they all slept well last night thank goodness.

I really must do the flylady next week! I have 3 black bags full for the charity shop and 4 dining chairs for the tip - That are driving me crackers! The snow has stopped me doing this - honest!

I did catch up with some Cubs work - i honestly thought that it would only be an hour or two of my time per week. But with the extra modules to do and planning/researching lessons it's looking more like 4! Alongside camps/jamborees/gangshows - i'm really considering giving it up. I dont have the time!!

Back to work in a few hours! And im freezing!

Happy Belated Birthday to Shegirl! :bdaycake:

  • Hiya ladies,

After about ten days of illness in our house, I'm finally getting there! Apologies that I haven't caught up with you all sooner.

Youngest has an appointment at Alder Hey for urology at the end of the month, so hopefully we can get some answers about why he has had blood in his urine. He has also had tonsillitis, which he gets every year. Older son has had a bad chest, again something that happens every winter. Both are fine now, but I went down with sinusitis. I couldn't do anything that involved moving my head, as the pain was so intense, so I had to give in and get medication. I'm feeling much better now, though, and have managed to keep up with daily tasks.

So, washing mostly done (I have got a bit behind, but catching up now). Ditto drying. Dishwasher, bins, toilets, all dealt with daily. Kids clean, fed and watered daily :), thanks in part to them having some independence. Daughter and younger son have helped to care for older son.

Lounge is relatively tidy, floors swept but could do with mopping.

Kitchen is ok but could be better.

I have decluttered a corner of my bedroom :D. I didn't find my TV remote though. It disappeared about three weeks ago, and I just can't find it anywhere

Brownies and Rainbows programmes are planned until half term, and a couple of weeks beyond. Pinterest is a great inspiration for cheap crafts, and I have been able to sort everything quite quickly and easily. The Brownies made their own map of the world last week, ready for the rest of their programme. We're visiting every continent over the next few weeks, playing games, singing songs, tasting foods, making crafts, creating a scrapbook, learning to count in other languages, etc. The map was the starting point, but somehow the girls have missed out the UK, and Spain has moved -it is now next to Poland :rotfl:

My older son has reverted to stripping off, something that I thought he had grown out of. Luckily, he keeps his nappy on!

Tonight I intend to file a couple of boxes of paperwork for Brownies and Rainbows. It is mainly activities, so shouldn't take too long to do. I should also think about getting some tea, but food tastes odd at the moment. The kids have eaten, but I couldn't face anything earlier. I know I need to eat, though, as I have only had an omelette and two clementines all day.

Shegirl, sorry to have missed your birthday. I hope you had a good one. I try to forget birthdays at my age :rotfl:

I'll catch up reading everyone's posts later.

    Hey ladies :hello:

Just popping in quickly. Not too much going on here, we are all fixed now :)
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o
  • Popping in from snow fun and crafty madness! I have finished the bunting and the cushion :-) have decided bunting shall be for a friends birthday in march... DD got a new drawstring bag for her ballet stuff this weekend as well! Busy busy.

Back on the organisation next week

1/ min 2 loads of laundry per day
2/ always do washing up immediately after school run
3/ sort out Christmas presents for my sisters (alas very late rather than early - mum is coming next weekend so I can send them back with her)
    4/ finish cleaning the fridge!
    5/ sort Welsh dresser
6/ read magazines I subscribe to that are piling up...
    7/ car insurance renewal
8/ book service and MOT for Focus
9/ panic about cost of insurance and service
10/ preschool committee meeting - need to complete new bank mandate, write agenda, write up minutes of last meeting and do cash flow forecast for the rest of the academic year, chase accountant as we need to submit return to charities commission.
11/ bulk buy vinegar - any hints as to where is cheap? I seem to have bought 2kg of baking soda at 3am while breastfeeding (damn smartphones), so I need vinegar to go with it for cleaning
12/ Internet banking - it's the end of the 'month' for me on Monday as CB is paid this Tuesday, so I can finalise my budgets for the month. There will be nothing left, of that I am sure as I have some outstanding on the credit cards...
13/ payslip from job should arrive - check if they have it right this month!

I'm sure I will add more tomorrow (I keep thinking today is Sunday as OH couldn't get to work on Friday so I'm a day out! Kids and OH were home so as far as I was concerned it was a weekend!)

happy belated birthday to Shegirl - 21 again, I assume?!? Mine is end Feb, I'll have 14 years experience of being 21 this time round :-)

:rotfl: 30 again,it's a bit like ground hog day- didn't get to have my big night out for my 30th last year due to now ex having to ' rearrange' (ie he didn't want the ' woman' he was cheating on me with,or anyone she knows,to see us out together as he told her we broke up years ago:eek:) so,it was planned with my friends to have my 30th party this year instead- only I lost my sons care/respite (!!!!!! lol) So,it's now a rule where I will turn 30 every year until I actually get to properly celebrate my 30th...the fact that I get to stay the same age every year is just a bonus:rotfl::rotfl::D

  • Hi. Would love to join you. I'm a mum of 3 monsters 8,9 and 6. I really need to need help getting organised this year including decorating the never ending digs and scraps the kids always seem to make on the walls to paying of a few naughty catalogue debts hopefully by Xmas. It would be nice to know I'm not alone in this crazy noisy life I'm living xxx
