I'm sure I saw the link on here in the first place but this website has inspired me HUuugely and gave me some great ideas. Www.organizedhome.com
There's a huge section on cutting clutter as well as getting organised and menu planning.
Ive been sorting through a few drawers. Cleared one in the dresser for table linen (which I'd told DH we needed to buy a new unit for), drained lots of bottles of booze from the bottom of the dresser and managed to make space for some big serving dishes from the cluttered kitchen cupboard. A kitchen drawer has been cleared and now homes the smaller plastic food containers, foil, matches etc (using the plastic takeaway cartons that m-I-l sent to keep bag clips, lengths of string and tea lights). That cleared space in a cupboard for mixing bowls and colanders, making the saucepan corner cupboard much better.

I'm sure DH thinks I've been doing othing around the home this week but just wait il he opens the cupboards at the weekend!

Hey, I know this probably all sounds obvious to some people but I've never really had the time to think through organisation in my home til now. It's all very exciting!
  • Snow day! School adamant they were open, delivered children, the text asking us to collect if possible came through about 20min after I got back...'

All tasks abandoned this morning, in order to take LO for her first walk in the snow. She instantly loved making fresh footprints in the bits on the side of the pavement where no-one else had walked.

Would be nice if we get enough to build a snowman for her, but likely it will all be slush or icy tomorrow - never lasts long in London.

  • Its very quiet on here today! WE are home on a snow day! Most schools are closed and its still snowing, though much lighter now.
I know what its like shegirl. CSA told me there had been a change of exs circumstances 9 months ago and they would be chasing it with his employers but no matter howmany times I ring nothing has been done. Had letter through with next court date re contact, just a couple of weeks ago. I dont know if im glad its just a few weeks away to get things sorted or scared sh*tless incase it doesnt go our way:/

Today so far I have put on a few loads of washing, dried some clothes, made lovely neart piles of clothes to go away (but only put a little away!) and hoovered up.

Soon to go back outside to make a snowman and snow angels!

We're snowed in here. OH is able to get back and forth to work by walking but I'm not attempting it with my knee and Thomas in the pram. Luckily we have everything we need here so no need to go off the mountain until it clears (all public transport has stopped for now up here).

I've been making use of the electric fire and been washing and drying as many clothes as I can. There's only 3 of us but it's amazing how fast it builds up especially as Thomas is much messier now.

He went into the snow for the first time today. He absolutely loved it :D

I won't have much choice tomorrow - snow or no snow - and at the moment there is quite a lot of it - if the tesco man can't get here to bring me nappies/ food I will have to take 2 children (1 in a buggy) on foot to the nearest large supermarket to get some (half hours walk with no snow on the ground/ no children in tow).
