Gosh she girl your energy and the amount of things you get done are amazing. Just a thought with your blind etc. are you having anything replastered etc. as our plasterer had one of those ladder things and let us borrow it. Sorry I can't be more help. Fabric sounds lovely can you send a link so I can be all envious about it. I'm not 'allowed' statement walls etc
Well I've got tons of sorting and cleaning to do but I've also got tons of important phone calls to make. Ins people who have charged twce for the policy, then ring another stupid company that owes us money for a refund. I need to order some bits from amazon which can't really wait. Oh and I said I'd go to buggy fit, so I best do.....
I need to wipe down the work tops clean the high chair, Hoover through all of downstairs and wash the floor. That's it for now I think.0 -
I'm sat in bed drinking a coffee that my daughter brought up before she went to work
I know I should get up, but both lads are asleep and I think I will try to doze off as well. Younger one in quite a bit of pain last night and took ages to settle, but then has slept all night. Older one is up several times a night anyway, but just before bedtime last night, he spiked a very high temperature and started vomiting. It isn't as bad as it sounds in some ways - it happens a few times a year, but with less frequency as he gets older. When it does happen though, I know I'm in for a very long night. I have no idea how many times I have been up in the night with him. He has had serval choking sessions on phlegm, but has managed to settle down now that morning is here . His temp is still high, but that will settle now.
Oh the joys of motherhood :rotfl:
So, I think I'll take advantage of the extra time in bed and have a doze. Later I need to take Mum to do her shopping. Once a week she cooks a meal for us, and this week it's tonight. She can't manage to carry her shopping though, so I take her. Plan of action is probably to ask younger son to go into Morrisons with mum, help with shopping. He can walk, bit slow mind you, but mum doesn't exactly race round these days. I can wait in the car with older son, who will be happy reading.
Later I need to do two machine loads and y them. Dry last night's washing. Tidy round, put dishwasher on, clean units. Change bedding on older son's bed, empty bins, put new sack into medical waste bin (for older son's nappies). Unpack hospital bag - should have done it yesterday, sort uniform and PE kits for next week, clean loo.
If I get the time and have enough energy, I also want to declutter one small area - not sure where the chosen area will be yet, there are so many to choose from :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone. I'll pop back later x0 -

My energy is in fits and wavesHalf of it's a case of ' needing' to do things really combined with lack of life:rotfl:
plasterers left last month
found the fabric for £52.50 now but having trouble finding the right colour way anywhere (should've got it when I spotted it on eBay!) this is the planner one http://www.curtain-up.ltd.uk/product/11516/712/silhouette_60115
the wallpaper I have (looks even better in real life as the background is a Matt metallic ' gilver') http://www.johnlewis.com/231111047/Product.aspx didn't even pay half that price though
and matching blind http://www.johnlewis.com/344341/Product.aspx?s_pccid=pc_gs__&
Plan is to have feature wall in the hall,on the landing, stairs an the other walls there in a ever so slightly grey white or just white with the matching blind on that annoying window:rotfl: I was originally planning to do the paper up the stair wall instead until I worked out how much would be needed:eek:If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Morning!
I've been AWOL for a few days, just been quite sad about doggy situation
Today it's back to our baby group at 11.30 it will be nice to see everyone.
I sat and wrote a list last night of things that need to be done so I'll start working my way through that.
Cleaned and cleared the fridge out yesterday, absolutly disgusted with myself at how grotty it was and that there were veg in there dated October!
Need to clean and tidy the living room and dining room today, then I'm making vegetable lasagne for tea0 -
Morning all!
Hope everybody is well today! Shegirl i love your wallpaper - so beautiful. I admire your get up and go, i usually start decorating and never finish it!
Feeling pretty stressed today!
Need to sort car ins, car needs 2 new tyres. I have been paid today but had 2 weeks off sick last pay period - DH left and this Quincy! So i'm panicking about paying this stuff. Although DH did produce £100 that he had saved for a replacement engagement ring this morning which was a bit of a lifeline! I really need to get budgetting to see if it's doable without any help from the bank of mum and dad! Once thats done i know i will feel better!
I'm going to declutter the kitchen drawers today - you know the ones full of carp! That should keep me busy for a while whilst DH is in work!
My brother was due to babysit tonight, but he ended up in a cell last night. I'm completely gutted for him, he is a good lad. A qualified nursery nurse and he was trying to stop a fight in town ended up being arrested for being drunk and disorderly!! I have never had much respect for our police but even less so now. So he won't be looking after my boys, he has spoken to his boss and she's asked him to come into work this afternoon.
I need to get a letter written for DH to ask for his PRP to be reviewed. ASAP!
Sort swimming bag, hope fully make it back from swimming in time for a SN group we go to on a Friday evening.
I chased up college and they haven't processed my application yet - come on!DFW Nerd #awaiting number - Proud to be dealing with my debts!
Dont cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

shegirl, LOVE the wallpaper and fabric, you have such good taste, I'd love something like that in my house!
Well I'm pleased with myself this morning.
I put the baby to bed and was just going to sit on my backside and drink tea, when I thought better of it.
So, so far this morning I have
Fed the fish
cleaned the worktops and appliances in the kitchen
cleaned the sink
done one load of washing and hung up
loaded and put on the dishwasher
got rid of all the disgusting cobwebs that were all over the ceiling! (god knows how long they've been there!)
hoovered through downstairs apart from the living
and am now sitting have a much needed break, whats the betting baby will wake up any minute!

Ok so I haven't updated on here for a few days but I have been fairly organised. The boys went back to school on Wednesday and I was back to work on Monday. We have manage to be up and out of the house on time each morning without too much stress! Particularly as I had to leave for work at 6am on Tuesday
The shower is still sparkling as I am managing to clean it every time it's used! Today I've done a load of washing, packed the boys bags for their overnight at their dads. Got birthday present wrapped ready for tomorrow's party for DS2 and bought one ready for next weeks. Half price Hot Wheels stuff so only £4!:D
I'm managing to keep on top of my work admin too so that's another positive for the year! End of the month will be so much easier if I keep this up
