Morning, well it's just gone 7 and I'm already feeling incredibly lazy. Baby woke up at 6 do could really have done with getting up then as list is so long but, he quietened down so I snoozed for a bit! Really need to get out of bed now!

Peanut, being pregnant and having another small one is hard work. Not being able to put myself to bed when I feel like it is the main thing I miss. And he's still refusing to walk do wants to be carried everywhere, which isnt easy, as he's a right heavy lump!

Right really must get out if bed!

Well, next doors builders decided about 7am that it was high time we were all awake grrrr... The children don't sleep late very often so I was distinctly miffed at this.

Have done bags for school, breakfast, ironed and put up the bunting :-), all are dressed and teeth brushed. Am going to head into town as soon as kids at school to get get thread (parking is free, but fills up quickly), then home to clean fridge before collecting middle boy at 12. Home for lunch and nap (Mummy to clear bookshelf) before 6wk check at 2.40, which is a horrible time seeing as I need to be back at school (and doctors is next village over) for 3.15. Must catch a friends mum this morning to ask her to hold E in the playground for 10min to give me chance to get there. I did have an appointment for 2pm on a Tuesday (no older ones, plenty of time) but apparently that dr is now on holiday that week and this afternoons was the only alternative. Grumpy, but what can you do?

Let's see if the day goes to plan (never does, but live on hope)

Peanut, best advice I can give is to relax and go with the flow - difficult but it works. Second, epidurals are the dogs wotsits after 18 hours stuck at 5cm. Gas and air makes you feel stoned and you will talk utter nonsense - midwives have heard it all, but I did apologise after... I had a second degree tear stitched with gas and air :-) If you get a baby that wants to suck, dummies are a flat out necessity. And easier to get rid of than a thumb! All babies develop differently, try not to get upset by mums that rant about their 3 day old baby that is crawling. Sleep when baby is sleeping even if all you want to do is stare at him... Breastfeeding is naffing painful for the first week, but so worth it! I'm already 3lbs less than my pre pregnancy weight. Walk with baby outside, every day. Fresh air restores the humour if either of you is upset. Be kind to yourself - there is nothing wrong with a day on the sofa if you need it.

I'll add more "things I wish I had known" later :-) Hope it happens sooner, overdue is no fun, I should know! Mine were 10 days, 8 days and 13 days (induced) late...
  • Thanks mysk - I'm rather lucky that my bump is small making me lots more 'agile'. Last week I was measuring 33.5cm but I should have been 38!

Had growth scans though and all is good, just hiding well. Lol
  • Just catching up on everything ive missed! Will be writing again when ive read through all the posts i've missed. Work kinda takes over my life so I look forward to my days off, though in doing supply tomorrow :/ Aiming to earn an extra £2013 this year (and more hopefully) towards our house deposit. This morning I have contacted the council band valuation office as I think we are in a band that is too high. I have tried before but they fobbed me off, so trying again. I am also comping.

Thinkgs are getting really stressful here. My ex is taking me to court as he wants 50/50 contact with the kids. to say we dont get on is an understatement and he is a bully. Just waiting for the court dates now for the final hearing. I'm representing myself :/ In the last few weeks things have esculated and every day I get several rants over text from him, usualy abusive and threatening. Today its his promise of how my 'games' wont win and how he will get what he wants in court as the kids are better off with him and his partner. I try not to reply as I have nothing to say to him. Its just unfair on the kids and he keeps putting them in difficult positions by making them choose when at his. The current arguement is he doesnt want our son to go to the same school as his sister (primary) even though he has no valid reason why not!

Ok, so for todays list -
    Dishawasher on and away
    3 loads of washing
    Change bedding
    Clean and tidy bathrooms
Call Sky and get broadband sorted
Call car insurance and email photos
Decide what to do with rabbit (passed away yesterday and havent told kids yet :(
    £2 Savers club £0/£150
    1p a day £/

OMG how does anyone have time to write these lists?

I need serious organisational help. Trying to be ill with flu whilst keeping a nightmare of a child happy. She's just screamed for the last hour and I don't know why. Just want to curl up and die every night rather than make lists for cleaning and stuff. Where do you girls get the energy?

I tried putting my list on here on Monday but realised that this didn't really work for me, as it does for some of you ladies. So I'm sticking with my paper lists, and my plan for the week on the fridge door.

Having said that, I did get quite a lot done on Monday.

Funny that Norfolk is coming up so often. Hubby wants to go there on holiday. By one son hates going away so we usually try to stick to short breaks.

Have a productive day everyone x

omg, I seem to have been a victim of my own enthusiasm. For some reason I wrote myself a list of all thing things that needed doing this morning. And set myself a list to be done by 10ish, there were 41 things on it!!!!!! Where the hell did I think I would get time to do them?! Honestly sometimes I live in cloud cuckoo land!!! So I have managed to do about 7 things, which have included, hoovering all of upstairs including cobwebs on ceilings on beams, making beds, tidying, putting washing away, dusting and cleaning out a cupboard, so actually pretty good. 41 one things, seriously, am I stupid!!! Going to do a couple more things and try and get things sorted.

Sorry you're having a rough time lindsaygalaxy, big hugs.

  • hi ladies, I've only posted on here once before i think, I only normally get chance to log on once a day and spend all my time reading your posts, thanking a few; having a giggle, get ideas then have to log off again grrr!!!

I can't post up everyday as i need something physical to refer to so have set up a list/diary system - every night i write a list of things i need to do the next day, some nice things that are organisational, one nice thing to do for someone else and 1 nice thing for myself. I also then check over finances and write details in the diary - only been doing this for 5 days but already i've achieved the following:
-paid off 3 small amounts towards debts
    - saved £10.80 aross the £2, 50p and 20p challenges
    - sorted daughter's baby clothes out for ebay / charity
    - 3 bin liners of stuff to charity
    - 3 items on freecycle
    -5 stuff on ebay
    -new 2013 family budget done
    -meal planned for next week
    -kept to shopping budget
    -and achieved 2 NSD's
    -sorted through all christmas toys
    - tidied THAT drawer in the kitchen
    :T:j one happy lady :-)

so apologies if I don't get on very often but I'm loving this thread and taking huge amounts of inspiration from everyone, have a lovely day ladies
    :-) xxx

  • Linda's galaxy, good luck with everything. Please get as much advice as you can if your representing yourself. If he's got a lawyer they can be tricky things.

Just been shopping but really tired again :( Going to try and get an early night tonight as been struggling to sleep the last few weeks.

Today though am desperate to clean the kitchen and sort out all our paperwork :)
