Mums get organised in 2013

You should join us over on the sloblady thread (as opposed to the flyladies!) where we all have quick and/or lazy ways of cleaning and tidying because life is too damn short to be a 50's housewife scrubbing on her knees:D
Forget separate dusting..seeing as your hoovering hoover the furniture at the same time(May have to be careful in your hoovering with anything breakable).Works well for skirting boards too:D
Looking for this thread as we speak, this is my kind of cleaning!!0 -
omg shelady, your list!! I thought mine was bad but yours, well! where do you get your lovely smelling zoflora from, and does it smell like cherries or just nice stuff, as I don't like cherries0

OMG how does anyone have time to write these lists?
I need serious organisational help. Trying to be ill with flu whilst keeping a nightmare of a child happy. She's just screamed for the last hour and I don't know why. Just want to curl up and die every night rather than make lists for cleaning and stuff. Where do you girls get the energy?0 -

We only moved a couple of months ago,had builders in after and I've been doing the whole house up since, while caring for severely autistic son who's only in school part time.I just want to sleep really but the house needs finishing first!!!
It smells like the blossom not the cherriesPerfect for those who like oriental floral scents too! Tesco do the small bottles which are on offer at 2 for £2 at the mo or bigger bottles can be ordered online. It works out pretty good - you dilute 10 mil of it with something like 450mils of water, chuck it in a spray bottle for surfaces or bucket for floors.Very cheap when you think of it that way
Disinfectant with added scent/odour control and someone on here suggests just putting a tiny bit of basic washing up liquid in so it's a full cleaner, disinfectant and nice smelling odour control/nice smelling housey allround cleaner
Mine only arrived yesterday (had it recommended on here as I wanted one cleaner rather than a seperate one for everything, like I usually do:o) but I'm in love with it alreadyIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

Not easy is itHow old is she?
Energy, well aside from the chocolate missymoo mentioned, you kinda force yourself to have ' energy' to do it because you know everything will feel better when it's done!Once you make a start you become more energised and keep going lol If you decide to take . break, however, you easily slump back down:rotfl:If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Missymoo are you expecting? I wish I'd start nesting! Lol0

yes 21 weeks tomorrow, I have a 13 month old son too. So it's all a bit manic, only to get more manic when no2 is born! Hence why I am trying to get sorted now.
stay_at_home_mum, I never used to have the energy or be organised but writing lists has really really helped me get on top of things, breaking things down and doing them one bit at a time and I'm really seeing results.
Shegirl just checked my two most local tescos don't sell it, although one of them does sell the linenfresh one, I have a thing for that clean washing smell. Anyone know whether this actually smells nice? Where can you get it on line hun, really like the idea of using up all my old bottles of stuff and only having a couple of things in the cupboard! I'm on the verge of getting another storage box to store all my products in!
I've just cleaned out the fridge whilst watching one born every minute, seriously it took me nearly an hour!!! I don't think I ever want to do it again! One less job to do tomorrow though.0 -
