Thought I'd quickly post up my list for tomorrow. Shan't be doing lots as I've got a friend coming over with her children, so shall be mostly drinking tea:rotfl:

I have loads to do...the house is still not straight and I really want to do some decluttering:eek: but it'll have to wait a little while....
    • 1 load of washing
    • Drying
    • Half an hour ironing (little & often is all I can face at the moment)
    • Shredding & filing -tonnes to do!!!

    Night all x

  • well still seem to be in the holiday mood here, find it hard to get back into a routine when the kids are still off school so just doing bits and pieces here and there until monday when they go back. i am also finding it hard to keep track of days as well keep thinking today is friday and asking hubby if 2 of the kids are staying away tonight for him to remind me its only thursday.

today managed to get tree down and all christmas decorations away in the loft in a nice new box courtesy of my approved food delivery that came today and got hubby to bring down 2 of our glass tables that were up there for us to put the hifi on as its not really had a home lately and i am hoping in my new routine schedule i will be putting it on through the day rather than havin the tv on as background noise to distract me. most of approved food delivery has been put away just need to find a bit more space in the cupboards for the biscuits i ordered lol

tomorrow i need to nip into town for a bit so will call my mum in the morning to see if she wants to tag along with me to get her out the house. want to do 3 loads of washing and drying along with finishing clearing out youngest 2 sons room whilst they stay at there grandparents (note to self tomorrow is friday lol). will hopefully manage to squeeze in a wee walk at some point as well to get youngest daughter out the house to run off some energy

  • Being productive, tomorrows list:

    * Get up at a sensible time! Lol
    * Quick tidy of house / kitchen as have friend coming over after lunch and it doesn't look pretty at the moment! Lol
    * Get to my brothers by 10.30 to help with decorating :)
    * Drag OH to Dunelm Mill to help me chose a big wicker storage basket to put in hallway (gorgeous ones reduced to less than a tenner, perfect for filling with hats, scarfs, snowsuits and little booties which currently are hid away and so never get pulled out)
    * Enjoy catch up with best friend :)
    * Cook tea, doing my favourite. Nando's style chicken and sweet potato mash :)

  • Please can I join I have been reading all the posts on this thread and they are inspirational. I seem to be rushing around all day and getting no where.
I have three girls aged 20yrs, 17yrs and 8 months and partner that works away all week so everything is down to me,
My older girls dont do anything much to help at home so could do with some tips.(I have recently stopped doing their ironing - now only doing middle daughters uniform.)
I go back to work in April so need to get organised.

I am starting with small lists and see how it goes:
    Hoover all ground floor
    Clean washing up
1 load of girls mountain of washing.
Take unwanted sale items back to Next.
Pick up bits of shopping. (No fridge freezer at moment waiting for engineer to come on monday so have to shop everyday)
Look into joining buggy fit classes
Sort out sock and underwear drawers.
  • Having another day off the real world today - enjoying the last days of the holidays with the kids.

Made our own sweetie bags out of a box of quality streets that we were given for Xmas and brought some cans of diet coke that were also left :-) trip to cinema for 4 = £7

love your lists chickywiggle, very motivational, Happyem, I go to buggyfit classes and they are fab, would def recommend them. Poohspals, I like your thinking, we always sneak in a bag of minstrels and a bottle of coke whenever we go to the cinema, saves us atleast £6 :)

Well I've got lots of little jobs done today but I know I still have tons more, but my enthusiam is waning somewhat now, as the mess just doent seem to be going down. I know why, it's because I have decided to stuff the house work for a few days and get sorted instead, so I'm trying to organise and declutter, yes the house needs cleaning, but no one is coming round and when all the sorting is done, its done, where as the cleaning will need doing again in 3 days time, so I'm letting it slip just this once, and its actually really helping, as it's giving me the much needed time to sort things out.

Lists are the way forward! I have an atrocious memory (even without a 5wk old baby as an excuse), so if I don't write it down it doesn't get done.
