  • well today was a complete wipe out didn't even manage to get the meal plan done lol

but on the plus side we had a lovely day at my sisters for dinner, kids had a ball, myself and one of my sisters had a few bottles of wine between us and it was a really lovely day and night, can't remember the last time we have done that if ever and made us all realise we need to spend a bit more time together doing things like this, kids all loved being together, a few dance games on teh wii and just a general all round giggle. we have discussed once a month family time with us al getting together (not sure how much was the drink and how much was genuine) but definite plans to do it a bit more throughout this year.

time for bed for me to hopefully be up bright and breezy tomorrow to get on with the declutteirng, the amount of times i had to delete spelling mistakes on this due to being under the unfluence was way to many for a short paragraph lol. will be back in the mornign with my to do list, well maybe afternoon lol

Ooo Brummiebabe what app is that you have? I've looked for lists and planners etc but there's so many to choose from!

It's the Reminders app that comes with the iPad!!! You can create different lists on the left hand side of the screen, set reminders etc....plus you can sync it with your iPhone (if you have one) through the iCloud, so it is available on both devices!! Fab

  • Morning everyone!

Well, back to work today so wont get much done. Hopefully DH will appreciate the list Ive left him :p, although he will probably have a raging hangover after a day out for New Year with friends, so hopefully DS will wake him up nice and early :D:D

Yesterday went a bit askew - I planned to put all the bedding etc back in the loft (in sealed airtight bags). Got it as far as the bedroom where the loft hatch is :(. Its on the list for DH though, so hopefully by the time I get back tonight, it will be all put away.

Menu planning didnt get started either :(. I will TRY to do it at lunchtime today.

On the bright side, I got the small trampoline out of the garage and dusted it off. Im planning on doing 30 mins a day while watching the news / tv each night to help improve my non-fitness. I will start it tonight - and hopefully keep it going!

Have a good productive day everyone!

I'm not doing my bed now - I've done boys beds, nets and sofa! Somebody has spilt Frank's Red hot sauce on my sofa and it has stained! It's been washed 3 times and bleached and washed again on 90 so far and it isn't shifting!

    Hi lolly

What I do is just wash the clothes/sofa cover normally and then peg out on the line and let the sun bleach the colour out.

Not so good in the winter but if you are in the south there have been a few days with some sunshine.

The clothes/sofa cover must be wet when hung outside and the stain must be facing the sun so you might need to run outside by the afternoon to turn it around.

Works on everything from spag bol to ketchup.

Some times I have left a school shirt out for a few days if the stain is particularly deep.

It works on cloth nappies as well, and trust me, some of those stains are impressive!

Humpf. Organised plans scotched by a flat car battery, currently waiting for the AA to turn up. And OH organised the online shopping (love him for this) but booked the 11-12 delivery slot right in the middle of my organised plans. Have switched to home based tasks but I'm not happy...

Finally got out the house yesterday, felt like a woman let loose :j sort of stuck to list in Sainsbury's, but did buy some presents for birthdays with 70% off, always say I will do this but never manage it, even bought reduced christmas paper which wasn't very festive so will use this for birthday paper.

Going to wrap presents with cards and put in box with a note to self that I will not feel guilty that only spent a couple of pounds when true price was more than I normally spend:o

Filled trolley with reduced bits from tescos and got 19 loaves of bread for £1.90 from the co-op.

I'm sure this isn't the January sale shopping I use to do :o lol
2013 the year to be more organised :p
  • Morning all, new mum here and stumbled across this on my 'I'm now at home and need to save money google search!'. Hehe.

This is my first day that OH has gone back to work since I went on leave so I'm feeling a little bit lonely!

Jobs for today though (although I'm meant to be resting and keeping my feet elevated):

Sort through the mountain that is our clean washing
Attempt some ironing (although the bump may ruin this)
Prepare a decent evening meal from what we have in the cupboards / freezer

Here goes the first day of mum life :)
