    Morning all!

Hangover free here today! :j Happy New Year to you all!

Today i will do flylady! I must do flylady!
I need to get bin in
I'm going for a walk with the boys to the park - I have to do this to prevent going stir crazy
I have put washing on already and i will peg it out (My mum's just shouted at me for this - apparently if you wash today you wash away a member of your family)
Going to strip and re make my bed
Get in loft (Will try, it will be hard on my own) And get decorations down!!

Still unmotivated but must soldier on!

  • Hello everyone, please can I join? I love fly lady, but have really only looked at it rather than followed it but am determined to be more organised this year!
I work pt, have 3 children, 1 working, 1 at college and 1 in year eight and washing is my personal nightmare!
Need to declutter badly and everywhere needs decorating, but baby steps will get me there.

Looking forward to reading everyone's hints and tips :j

today is a lazy day for us, no set plans to do anything so anything that does get done will be a bonus, although i do plan on finishing my meal plan and shopping list for the next couple of weeks.

off to my sisters for dinner so at least i won't have a messy kitchen to tidy after dinner lol

hope you all have a good one whatever you are up to

I think this is just what I need although I spent 20 minutes just sitting here reading through it all when I could have been doing something more constructive :rotfl:
My house is a complete tip, I have 3 kids still at home and their rooms honestly look like someone has trashed them but they won't let me help sort them out.
My bedroom is the dumping ground, if they ask where to out something the answer is always "stick it in my room for now" so I need a huge declutter.
With 2 kids playing rugby there is always washing to do and I never seem to get to the bottom of it.
I don't sleep well and most nights I lie awake sorting out the house in my mind then come down and see what a mess it is.
Anxiety and depression don't help and it's been really bad over Christmas but I do want to sort everything out.
My youngest is learning to drive so I'm giving him extra lessons in his brother's car ( his dad is paying the extra insurance for that) so that's 1 - 2 hours a day but he's in no rush to pass his test as he can't buy a car so that will be the end of his driving.
Jobs for today are (in no particular order)
    1. Take son for a drive when he finally gets up
    2. Iron eldest son's work shirts and pants for tomorrow
    3. Wash last night's dishes :o
    4. Clean bathroom
    5. Do more washing
    6. Put decorations back in loft
    7. General decluttering
    8. Make a list of what needs doing this week and actually remember what day it is. Missed the bin men last week, I knew they were coming on Thursday as normal then heard them on what I thought was Wednesday. My son's car needs moving to get them out so I couldn't do it in time.

Hi everyone. Thought I would come out of Lurkdom!!!!

Looks like im in the same bout as a lot of people here. I currently work 4 days a week but at the beginning of feb i'm starting to work 5 so i'll be working Monday to Friday. I'm dreading it. Ive always had a Wednesday off and ive always used this day to do all my batch cooking, list making, meal planning, changing beds, cleaning bathroom, clearing out various cupboards/drawers etc etc. All the horrible jobs that I hate doing but now I really don't know where i'm going to fit it all in. Was going to take a trip over to the Flylady but I tried it a couple of ears ago but failed spectacularly lol.

Hubby is great and does a lot round the house but he works really long hours so I try to do the bulk myself. My new thing i've tried to do is to do any ironing as soon as it comes off the airer. The earlier tip about getting 5 days worth of school uniforms ready at the beginning of the week is one i'm going to start doing as of next week.

I also need to take down decs, give everywhere a good clean, get rid of excess food (freeze most of it), tart up kids and our bedroom and start back on slimming world.
