  • Morning all!

    A happy birthday to brummiebabe!

So 1st wash of the day is on.

Tonight dinner is just snacky bits and nibbles so not much to do there lol,

Looking forward to flipping open my 2013 calender to let the years madness commence lol

  • NYE - not one of my favourites if I'm honest. Anyway looking forward to 2013, this year has not been one of the best.

I've been off since Christmas Eve and not due back til 2nd Jan but am already dreading it. I love my job and work from home, but because of that my house always becomes an extension of my office. There are always boxes everywhere and as soon as I clear one I end up with more. It has been lovely being off as I've had no deliveries and the house is fairly tidy.
Ah well. I may try to follow some of flylady's tips to help me stay organised.

  • Morning everyone,

Been busy this morning - paid in xmas cheques, took the things I didn't want from the Next sale, filled the car with petrol, took the rubbish to the dump and looked for a new microwave in Sainsburys.

Now for a little more housework before heading into school to finish some planning.

    Happy New Years Eve everyone.

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
    Happy Birthday to Brummiebabe :)

My plan today is to clean/dust/hoover/sort the lounge. I need to give it a good sort out as its looking rather miserable.
  • Good morning,
Could I join in with this please? Your lists are totally putting me to shame, I'm way too disorganised! I work PT and DH works FT, we've got 2 children (aged 6 and 7) and a variety of pets :D
Both children have some after school activities and I don't drive, so I sometimes spend ages on buses/trains and wish I could be using my time more wisely!
2012 has been a fairly bad year generally, so am really hoping that 2013 can be much better :) and hopefully me being organised will go some way to helping that happen!!
Happy new years eve, have a wonderful day whatever you're doing :j
  • Morning everyone! Happy Birthday Brummiebabe

Good start to the day so far - Ive done the shopping, got the first load of washing into the dryer, and started to clear up ready for DS's friedns taying tonight. Ive made a pile of anything which needs to be put away in the middle to each bedroom, and a pile of the kitchen table. Just a case of doing the putting away now!

I got loads of veg in the shopping, so am ready for the healthy eating for the remainder of the week. That reminds me - must finish off the christmas cake :o:o

Got myself a lovely little book at Asd* this morning to keep track of my shopping lists and things to do, aswell as lovely soup carrier for work when I go back. Just got to get round to making it :rotfl:

hope you all have a productive day!

  • Happy birthday Brummiebabe - hope you have a good one!

Well, I haven't done much today. My mum is ill, so I took her to the doctor's. She has a chest infection, and her blood pressure has risen the last couple of times that she has been checked. So, as well as antibiotics, there is a change in her medication. Two meds have been changed for different ones, but as she has blister packs, these need changing completely. I have collected her current packs from her house when I took her home, taken them to the chemist for re-filling, and have to collect them later. I have also done a bit of shopping for her.

I haven't done anything at home, though, as it was lunchtime when I got home. I have had lunch, and spent some time with the kids, then come on here :p

This afternoon I am going to choose an area to declutter. I don't know what I will achieve yet, but I have over two hours before collecting Mum's meds from the chemist, so theoretically I have plenty of time. In reality, I am shattered because I didn't sleep well, so I am on a go-slow today :D

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'll report back later x
  • Haven't done much today, well infant nothing! Dd isn't well, was awake on and off during the night and has just fallen asleep with me sitting next to her on the sofa, the only time she wants me to sit with her is when she is poorly :0(

I have tea cooking in the slow cooker, big portion of chicken curry, so will be some left for freezing, will add to inventory list. Chicken and sausage meat out of the feezer ready for roast dinner tomorrow, just got to make trifle.

No washing on today or tomorrow, don't know the reasons behind it but my mum never did so I don't either. Will have to make up for this on Wednesday and Thursday is dd birthday so have got party bags and tea food to prepare so will be busy on Thursday.

Hubby and ds are in ds bedroom making up a years worth of broken lego sets, lego city, Star Wars, pirates, ninajargo etc they have the instruction books out so could be some time, this is a huge job and will make a real difference to bedroom, I will actually be able to get in and sort out the other toys, he mostly into lego and ps games now, and stealing the ipad, tablet, phone, laptop etc to play temple run!!

I am making the most of sitting her with sleeping dd, the to do list is getting huge!!

Happy new year to you all

Feeling unmotivated already! It's not even 2013 yet

I have been to collect DS uniform - Will label it in a minute.
I tried to book hair appointment but nothing suitable (Big biff for even longer)
Tried to apply to college and need adobe acrobat and i only have reader.
Attempted to get on BSL course and centre is closed until 8th!

My washing pile is empty though, until the morning no doubt. Really want to change the beds tomorrow but i bet it's raining!

Kingfisher - I'm training to be a leader, although i don't think i will ever be a real one as i don't want to make the "promise" I've sworn allegiance to the queen some years ago - That was enough. I'm not making any promises to God. It's just not me. Although I've only been helping at a new pack for 6 weeks, so i haven't any activities I've taken myself I will be expected to this term i think :)

Dont cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

  • 1/ thank you letters - need to buy notepaper to do these on
    2/ DD's room tidy
    3/ clean windows
4/ register for SA tax return online
discovered I need my UTR, which is on a letter somewhere in a very large pile - add "sort filing" to list
5/ preschool newsletter and fee increase; pay hall rental bill
    [STRIKE]6/ finish fingerless gloves[/STRIKE]
7/ declutter hallway and find a large box to store hats/gloves/scarves as we are always losing these!
[STRIKE]8/ cooking with DD - she's been asking for a couple of days and I keep saying I'm too busy. Bad Mum...[/STRIKE]

Not very productive, but we had a fab time at the cinema - my 4wk old slept through the first half and fed through the second half so I saw the whole film which I hadn't expected! Will write tomorrows list in a bit. Top tip - if I've written it on a list I'm much more likely to do it for some reason?
