meeting husbands female friend!

  • Not aimed directly at you, vik - but some of your posts did sound as if the wives 'better not' interfere. I suppose I'm awkwardly trying to make a point that sometimes, friendships come before relationships - as I explained that's where I've been, in my first post in this thread. But sometimes - no, they don't.

The point being that regardless of what you or I think is acceptable or not, the OP was upset, therefore her husbands behaviour was NOT acceptable and it's his responsibility to sort that out.

  • Your male friends Vik have been friends for years and I agree that when they marry the wives should accept you. I'm happy with my husband having female friends who he knew before me. However a new woman flirting, texting and coming to the house!! That is not acceptable behaviour for a married man to be involved in, he is either insensitive and thoughtless or he's after rumpo with her. Hopefully he is just thoughtless.

Well you're saying that my husband would cheat on me if he got away with it.

I don't remember saying anything of the kind.

Your posts are obviously a reflection on your own experience, if you put it out there in public don't complain if people comment on it.

Obviously, are they? I think that's you making assumptions. I've said nothing about my own situation so I'm perfectly entitled to complain about you commenting on it.

Some people can't discuss the subject without getting personal!

I have said, I do think its innocent, but I too would be wary of some 'new' relationship....

i didnt say your were. your being jugdemental though aint you? you must be or you would'nt have an opinon, would you?

I'm airing a general opinion on a set of general circumstances - nowhere have I said I think the OP's husband is or isn't cheating. What I've not done is make a judgment about someone's personal life. If you don't know that your comment will do nothing but antagonise then perhaps you should read it again

But at the same time, you think that your mates should put their foot down with these amazing women if they have a problem with your friendship. Do the wives feel the same way about you as you do about them - or don't you care?

Ye gads! I hope that wasnt directed at me! I love my male friends partners as much as i love my mates! In fact, theyre all my mates now! For my friends to find love is womderful to me, and im as happy for them as i am when my female friends got married, had babies etc... For my male mates to meet women so amazing that they want to marry them is inspirational, and the women who love my mates are fantastic cause theyve improved their lives... (did that make any sense?!!)
