moodykerry, I haven't read the entire thread (laptop has been on the blink for the past week! My husband did this TWICE...and even though I told him I wasn't happy he didn't give a S@*T! Be ver careful and in your hear of hearts I'm sure you know there is probably more there! My husband also wanted to invite her to a BBQ at his house on her return from holiday. I refused of course! Good Luck with it all though.

For God knew in His great wisdom

I'm desparate to know what happened!! Thinking of it today.

Really hope it went well Kerry

  • It sounds to me like some posters in this thread, rather than being threats to their friends wives, they perceive the wives as threats to their friendships - I've read a lot of very defensive comments about the mens social lives not being interrupted by marriage - as if it is stupid to think that marriage might mean putting your partner first.

You've hit the nail on the head. The men aren't stopping themselves from doing it because they don't want to do it. They're stopping themselves because they know what the consequences will be...

So you do trust men!!! Thats what ive been trying to say!!! Most men (and all the ones i know!) love their wives and girlfriends and kids, and me being their mate isnt a problem, cause even if i was like a rabid dog on heat, they wouldnt want to loose what theyve got!!

  • None of the personal comments are helpful - I'd edit that if I were you - don't be so judgmental.

I agree. When I'm not in a relationship, I look at men because, on occasion, I want one. When I am in a relationship, I don't carry on like that because I'm happy with what I've got. I don't think men are inherently like that.

I have several male friends but the closest ones are either those I've known from when I was young (uni) or gay. I don't see them in a sexual way and I've never thought about whether they've seen me in a sexual way. Most of them are married and I wouldn't be flirty with them - they're my friends. I wouldn't encourage flirting from them because I respect their wives/husbands.

I've several close female friends whom I met through work, but no close male ones. I don't consider this a loss, it's just the way it's gone.

I also find it interesting that I have been with my husband for 15 years and most of the posters arguing with me are single. When you live with a man day in day out for most of your adult life you get to understand them.
