Aha Vik! I was wondering... I've been told I'm "in touch with my feminine side" many times... I guess that's why I get on well with "boy's girls"! (Or is it just because I'm a bit of a flirt?) Or is that the same thing????0

Goodness, what a thread. I hope the OP is okay and this hasn't stirred up a hornets' nest for her.
I agree completely with MATH on this one. It's simple to me. A marriage is different to any other relationship. It depends on the couple HOW they respect each other - either by trusting them to make good judgements in friendships of either gender, or by trusting them not to have friendships with people of the opposite sex because of worries that it may cause a problem down the line. It doesn't matter how they arrange it as long as they respect each other and do what works for that relationship.
Friendships are important but if they threaten a marriage then they are unhealthy. I love my friends, male and female, but no matter what his reasons, if DH was unhappy with a friendship of mine, I simply could not continue with it. And if a friend's wife was unhappy with our friendship, I would bail out too.
DH has female friends and most have married and he's friends with the husband too, just as I am friends with the female. I have male friends and DH is a welcome part of those friendships too. One male friend has only been in touch once in the last year and I'm putting it down to a serious relationship he is in. I have just left it because, although we have been friends for over 10 years, our friendship is simply not as important as his relationship.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
If we carry on thanking each other like this, people are definately going to talk... seriously though, I reckon this thread has gone on long enough and we should all wait to see if Kerry comes back. Glad it's got on to a happy note though!0
