I'm just wondering if Kerry's OH's friend is a tomboy? And how flirty are the texts? Maybe the texts seem flirty because they're from a female, if the same thing was written by a male it might be seen as banter between friends

I'm a right tomboy, if a bunch of us go out I say to mr tru "don't you DARE leave me with the girlie girls while you have a laugh". I just can't click with women who end up chatting about clothes, make-up and weight  You're more likely to find me drinking with the blokes, it's always a better laugh :D Maybe the friend is the same.

Having said that, if he knows it's upsetting you (justified or not) then he should stop. We're still here if you need to chat :grouphug:

Yeah, its gone lighthearted again, and swung back to the op... I hate arguing with people on here, and I know sometimes i should let it lay, but i cant!! And now i feel dirty and ikky that ive had a big heated discussion in such a public forum...
Not at all... your views are as valid as anyone elses... and if you didn't care about the issue you wouldn't have spoken up. That's what makes this site interesting!

..Call me old fashioned, but I don't think opposite sex friend are appropriate when you are married...
How does that work then?

My wife is my best friend and she is the opposite sex to me.

:rotfl: that made me lol ! I know you were only joking above !

Now I can see why you suggested the venues you did on the Welsh meet thread ;) :rotfl:
  • Vik6526 - You sound exactly like me!

I've always got on better with men than with women. My friends as a kid were mostly male and it was the same when I got older. I would usually be the 1 female in a group of about 20 males! I find women (in big groups) can be particulary b*tchy and I really hate that. I like having a laugh, telling rude jokes and swearing (not very lady like i know!).

I remember one time a male friend was being particulary lewd and i reminded him that there were ladies present. His reply was 'Oh, your just a bloke with t1ts'. Thanks!

I would always be friends with the girfriends that came along and I can't think of any incident where I was percieved as a threat.

Since getting married and having a family, my and DH don't tend to socialise much so, i've got no-one to be jealous of, lol!

HOWEVER, if he started going on about a new female i'd never met and was sending and getting flirty text messages, then someone would be getting a smack upside their head.
