  • I'm a bit concerned about the disappearance of the OP - hope everything is ok.

  • Is this the fastest growing thread ever??!!!

I hope the op has a spare couple of hours when she next sits down at her pc.

I know for sure I wouldn't have to worry about you ladies trying to pinch my hubby as you never leave the house, some of you must've been on here all day! LOL!!

I hope the op is ok. Maybe she threw them both on the bbq?

Thanks for the blurb on this thread guys, it has taken my mind off of current things upsetting me. And before you ask, not my hubby's female friend! Ha Ha.

I also find it interesting that I have been with my husband for 15 years and most of the posters arguing with me are single. When you live with a man day in day out for most of your adult life you get to understand them.
I've been with my OH for all of my adult life since I was 17, we've now been together for almost 23 years and while I do understand him I wouldn't be as bold to say I understand all men. I agree with some of the things you've said but to say 70% of married men cheat & 30% haven't had the chance is just ridiculous as is saying that if they were 100% sure they wouldn't be caught they'd cheat if it was handed to them on a plate. Some men love and respect their wives and would never cheat because they just wouldn't want to.

Some men are cheats as are some women but I think it's a shame that you seem to have so little faith in a mans morals or integrity especially your own husbands. I respect my OH too much to think that he's led only by basic animal instinct and needs to "spread it about". And saying that it's not their fault if they cheat because they can't help it is either demeaning to men or giving them the green light to stray!

Well, you know what they say:

"Women need a reason to have sex, men just need a place."

    Lin ;)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Hororay, you get it. 70% of married men cheat. The other 30% have just never had the chance.

I find this view both sad and offensive. It's left me wondering if something has happened to you previously to give you such a depressing outlook on life.

Maybe she believed Eddie Murphy in his stage show 'Raw'- he claimed the same thing.

More likely, however, the poster has been cheated on in the past, like many of us have been- if you have never been cheated on then be thankful -it is a life changing experience.

I got cheated on once! My first ever boyfriend was sleeping with my best friend behind my back
Its never affected my view of men or relationships. I would be a very miserable person now if I had let something that happened to me when i was 18 still be relevant now. Call me a 'glass half full' kinda girl, but im sure enough of myself, and confident enough to trust people, and to be trustworthy myself. I think thats why the situation I have with my friends works so well. My male friends see me as another bloke, and their wives/partners trust me and enjoy my company cause they know that Im sinply no threat. Im just a 'big sister' to everyone. The example I gave of my mate falling asleep on my lap, which seemed to cause such outrage, was baffling to me. My drunk mate needed looking after, came to talk to me on my sofa and simply passed out. I let him lay in my lap til he was fast asleep, then i moved, and put a blanket over him and left him there. Thats the kind of person I am. I care about my mates and found it really offensive that *some* people on here thought that what I did was so so shocking...

Vic, you know it was innocent, your mate and his wife are happy with the situation and that's all there is to it. You don't need to justify yourself to anyone on here. I've had mates like that too, though my personal line was not to let them stay over. (So I couldn't be accused of anything I hadn't done as much as anything else.)

But once I was at a friend's house a few days before he was due to move away to live with his fiance. He made a pass at me just after speaking to his soon to be wife on the phone to say goodnight. She knew I was there and was happy with that, as was I, right up to the point where he was disrespectful enough (to both her and me) to try it on. I got a taxi home straight away. I haven't seen him since although we send occasional emails. It's not surprising that people get funny about blokes and girls being mates because things like this do happen and no-one wants to be on the receiving end of it.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

I dont know anyone, family or friends who would be happy with their OH having their head in the opposite sexs' lap asleep ! lol

World would be dull place if *everyone* felt / viewed things the same though :)

I *do* think its great that your friends OHs view you like that and are happy for you to be such a big part of their fellas lives, but its not for me TBH

Maybe I am old fashioned lol in that I view things like that, and sharing a bed etc as mentioned previously in this thread as for your partner only :)
