I'm gonna do that, I had sent the email confirmation, as in some cases they accept that, the problem is that the vat receipt on the account is dated two days later than the actual purchase, for some reason.

My order receipt was dated 11/12 and the vat receipt 12/12. I entered the 12/12 on the claim form.

The 11/12 was the date ordered and the 12/12 the dispatch date.

looks like I've given them the perfect excuse to reject my claim then, as the date on the receipt is not the date I made the order, will phone JL and see if they can produce a receipt with a date the matches the actual purchase.
  • I started the claim process towards the end of december, then got the missing documentation email2 weeks later. Sent what they needed and hadn't heard anything back for another fortnight, so today I decided to email them for an update and/or give 'em a kick in the behind. (Thanks to this thread I knew not to bother phoning them!) and also thanks to this thread mentioned that the whole missing docs thing is a bit of a cheek and outside of their t&cs - and lo and behold I get an email back within 3 hours telling me the claim's been validated. What a coincidence lol.

So it pays to get on at them if they seem to be dragging their feet. They say payment within 30 days so I've marked it on t'calendar and will be emailing again if it's late haha :D

I'm rather confused, now, these are the t&c I found:
    http://www.samsung.com/uk/tab2cashback/tandc.html
In order for your claim to be successfully validated the proof of purchase must:
    1. Be either an invoice, receipt or order notification. Delivery notes are not accepted.
    2. Indicate the name of the store that you made the purchase.
    3. Indicate the product that you have purchased.
    4. If your proof of purchase is deemed not to meet the conditions above you will be notified via email and offered the opportunity to provide the required items within seven (7) days. If the participant still fails to comply with the terms and conditions, the claim for cashback will be marked as invalid.

Same experience for me. Not impressed. They have a big stand at the BETT education technology show at London Excel next week so I'll be sure to drop by and let them know what a negative impact this is having on their image.
