    Sorry to bother.
I'm another unfortunate being swindled by Opia.
Could anyone please help me with the model number for Samsung 10.2" 16 GB wifi only WHITE tablet?
    Thanx in advance;)

    Hello.
in what way the swindled you?
Model numbers can be found on amazon, they depend on model/spec/colour of the device, here's the info for the white 16g 10.1 tablet (I don't think I've seen a 10.2):

    Thank you very much.
I bought 2 , claimed properly, adding both gadgets on claim page, but cashback was paid for only one.Called them last week and informed the CS that I'm recording the call(CALLRECORDER app for ANDROID).A supervisor called Matt, emailed me that I'm allowed to make a late claim as the attached receipt showed 2 tablets.I was allowed to use a different date so that the claim page proceeds to next page.
I'm asked to call them again after getting the claim reference number. I've been trying on the national number from 8 am today, but they're not picking.May be I should try the premium number.
    Will update.
  • Well, well, well, surprise, surprise, today is day 36 after my claim was validated and I don't have my cashback.

This whole process has been an absolute joke and I thought Samsung were a reputable company. Well if they can't afford offers or don't want to do them then they shouldn't bother. Not mess people around and p*ss them off.

I am due a new phone in a month or two and after this, I am determined not to give them another penny of my money.

  • On 11th Jan:
Your Samsung Back To College claim has now been validated. You will receive your cashback within 30 days of receipt of this email. Please allow up to an extra 5 working days for bank transfer delays.

And today? No cashback! Tis very annoying!

    Three claims

    Claimed 28/12/12 x2 and 1 on 5/1/13

Emails recieved to provide photos, called them to tell them to get lost ....not part of t+c, validated all 3 over phone 09/1/13.

No cashback by 12/2/13, so called again, they said had a back log, payment will be pushed through in 5-7 working days.

    Also emailed on 13/2/13, reply
We are currently working through a backlog of payments, and you should receive your payments within 7-10 working days. The payments will be paid by Opia Ltd. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

    Kind regards,
    Kieran

35 days after validation. No cashback. Chased, backlog excuses etc etc...

Disgraceful service. How hard is it to press a couple of buttons and trsnsfer money.

    I emailed a complaint to them yesterday and their reply was this;

    Dear Customer,
    Thank you for your email.
Firstly I apologise for the delay you have experienced and any inconvenience caused.
Due to the high volume of claims we have received, we are regrettably experiencing a back log of payments which we are working through in date order.
I can assure you that your claim has been validated and you will receive your payment as soon as possible.
I apologise once again for any inconvenience caused.

As you say, how hard is it to press a button? Still, I am hopeful it'll turn up soon. :)
