so I've emailed them for an update.

I find this course of action hard to understand.... when dealing with people like this why not just give them a call - get an instant answer and might hurry them up a bit. If they are already "snowed under" then its easy for them to ignore an e-mail...

I phoned them a few times, got varying levels of service from absolutely carp to average... but it just keeps the pressure on them to get it sorted quickly.

    HTH.

I emailed them yesterday, got a reply today. Took 20 seconds to send an email, far quicker and easier than calling.

Fair play, if they do reply that quick then its not too bad.... shame they don't send the payments quicker.

Completely agree. 39 days for me so far but at least I had a response that suggests they are possibly just disorganised rather than incompetent...

Surprisingly, OPIA paid the £50 cashback for my second device(they paid for one only, in spite of my correct claim online) 30 days sooner than promised.(Claim validation email received on 4th Feb, and cashback credited on 15th Feb)
I did have to call them up few times(national number) and each time, informed that I'd been recording the conversation.
Persevere..they should never dare to fleece the public again.

Email gives you a written record and many of us wasted good money phoning them on their 'helpline' when all this kicked off.

Like a few others, the money finally appeared in my bank account this week. It seems that are paying up, just not within the timescale originally promised. :)

Just to clarify - submitted claim at the end of December, validated 9th January, payment received 26th February. Received responses to my chase-up emails and an email a few days before the payment arrived saying it was on its way.

So don't give up hope, those of you still waiting, it'll turn up eventually.

My claim was validated on 18th January.

Phoned Opia on 27th February asking about my claim, gentleman told me my money would be in the bank by 6th March (making some excuse), it was in my bank today. Success - I was getting worried after reading this thread. I would advise phoning them - they seem to move after that. :j :j

42 days and it arrived. Wonder if the email I sent last week helped at all...

Thanks for the heads up on this guys. Just realised that my validation email was sent on 22nd Jan, so I'm now into 41 days.

Just sent an email to the help@ email address that was on my validation email. Will that work ?
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
