More Samsung Galaxy Cashback Questions

I have a couple of questions that I would like answered, if you have paid with a credit card and claim cashback online will Samsung do a bacs transfer to the credit card.

Also it was purchased from John Lewis, so will the date I put on the claim be the date I purchased it or the date it was delivered, bearing in mind the Delivery was two days later and no date was on the delivery note.

Thanks

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but have you read then T&C's? If not then it would answer your questions definatively.

IIRC (from a brief glance at them) it says that the date on your invoice / receipt is DAY ONE!!!

Also if you have a look at the online claim link, (I haven't) you should find out how they pay you. I guess you will provide bank details for them to pay to... I think it very unlikely they would pay on to a credit card.

It was mostly the credit card part I was wondering about, as Samsung say for online requests they do a bacs transfer.

I was pretty sure it is the date I ordered it online from John Lewis but then they say acceptance of the order and payment takes place when it has left the warehouse.

I didn't want to start filling in the claim until I was sure I had every thing correct.

Hi, just purchased a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from John Lewis after seeing £50 cashback offer. (http://www.johnlewis.com/231692578/Product.aspx).
How do you claim the cashback from http://www.samsung.com/uk/tab2cashback/ as it only allows you to enter purchase dates upto 19th Nov - yet TOCs states its for purchases upto end December. ("Qualifying Tablet purchases must be made from 00.01 on the 24th October 2012 to 23.59 on the 31st of December 2012")
  • I think it has been mentioned before, but to put it into large print for the short of sight:

READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE OFFER!!

    (hint: no 3)

Many Thanks.... was told by store that it had to be registered within 15 days NOT registered after 15 days.

    yep TOCs state:
Claims must be made within 15 - 60 days from the date of purchase, for the avoidance of doubt the date of purchase on the invoice or receipt counts as day 1. Claims received outside this period will be marked as invalid and will not be accepted.

This I think the store must have read, and assumed Claims must have to be made within 15 days... perhaps the wording should have said "Claims must be made BETWEEN 15 - 60 days from the date of purchase"

Just as a matter of interest - on the JL receipt which is the receipt number - is it the customer requirement number?

I have put the order number on mine, if you got the Tablet in store it may be different.

sorry for stating the obvious here with people all asking this question and then that question.

Why don't you "yourselves" ring up customer services of john lewis or samsung who are running this offer which ever it is and ask them directly the questions you need answers too rather than coming on a forum and hoping for an answer to terms and conditions we have not read or have any idea of this particular offer!!!

also you will get direct answers from the people that are running the offer and yes it may cost you a phone call! good god are people that lazy they can't pick up a phone any more or is it just plain thick?
    merry christmas :)
  • I have purchased 2 Galaxy tablets from JL and was under the impression i would be claiming £100 cashback from Samsung after the 15 days. After going through the process of the online form at step 5 i was asked for a jpeg of the receipt!!!!! How on earth is everyone expected to do this scanning etc. Obviously this offer is designed to make it difficult if not impossible to get paid.I shall be taking this matter further as i think it is very misleading and sounds easy when in fact it is very difficult and badly reflects on John Lewis itself as well as Samsung.

You can just take a photo (with your new Galaxy tab if you don't have a camera/phone with a camera) and email that. That's what I did and had no issues with the cashback.
