My experience of the online process was as follows:
1) Followed the online steps completely. Got my confirmation email immediately.
2) Exactly 14 days later I was emailed and asked for a picture of the back of the tablet - they claimed I had missed some documentation. As the information on the back was submitted previously (Serial Number + Model Number) albeit not an image (but not requested - only the invoice was a requested upload) I was a bit concerned.
3) I called their 0191 number and was answered promptly (no queueing). I explained by dilema and why I was asked for more info. She told me she didn't understand why they wanted more info as everything looked fine on my claim. She validated my claim on the spot. Now, when I check the status it does say VALIDATED. Just waiting for the money now.
Was a bit of a bumpy ride, but so far I am quite impressed with Opia. Maybe one or two of their staff are a bit hopeless.0 -

Any chance someone could let me know what the full 0191 number is please?
ThanksA big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

Hey, I've put my head in the Lion's mouth today but registering my Tab 2 10.1 purchase online. After reading this, I'm not sure it's worth the time to keep on top of. I'll keep this thread updated. Thanks0

yes i would be very grateful of the full 0191 number as the one i called is useless plus its costing me keep calling only to get to position 2 in the Q and then to be told that no one can take the call each call lasting a min of 20 min0

I am deeply unimpressed with Opia. No confirmation email. Phoneline holds you for 20 minutes that kicks you off anyway. No replies to any emails.
I am interested in your comment about about checking your status - how do you check your claim status? Thanks.0 -

How long after did you get your refund? I bought a laptop 7th sep with a £100 cashback offer, did all i needed, had validation and claim number 24th nov and still waiting for cashback, emailed and they are 'looking into it' and it will take 45 daysShine on you crazy diamond..............0 -
To follow up on my earlier post - I submitted my claim to the cashback website on 28th December. I did not receive a confirmation email. I sent two emails to which I received no reply. I twice tried the cashback helpline which, as others have found, keeps you on for about 20 minutes, telling you are reaching the top of the queue, then declares no-one can answer your call. I tried the Opia 0191 number (hint - to find this, visit their website and go to Contact Us) and it rang and rang and rang ....
HOWEVER, this evening I have received a confirmation email which gives me a claim number. This does not say my claim is validated, merely that they have a record of it. Apparently it is an automated email - 10 days to send an automated email - I think they need to overhaul their systems.
Anyway, perhaps it's just a matter of patience, they are clearly unable to handle the volume of claims.0 -
Got this 9th December but still no money back ..... remaining hopeful though. ANyone else received their money yet ?

I called the 0843 3083776 Samsung Claim number to see if they have received my claim (I've not had my email), and twice had the previously documented full 21.19 minutes experience, which I've summarised below:
1) "Thanks for calling, it'll be a bit of a wait" (1st-16th minute)
2) "You are position 9 in the queue", which rises 1 or 2 places every minute - (16th-20th minutes)
3) You're position 1 in the queue - (20th-21st minutes)
4) Getting a bit excited now
5) Cut off by caller - 21.19 minutes from calling
This must be a recording or something rather than a proper IVR, as it's exactly the same experience each time. As it's not free, and there doesn't seem to be any intention to answer the call, isn't this an OFCOM matter?
EDIT : 0843 308 xxxx is classified as a BT Charge "g6" call, chargable at 5.105ppm.
Totting up, that £1.07 each call.
Looking forward to my £47.86p cashback...0 -

Everyone has had the same experience with this phone number and it's a good point about Ofcom. I think I will lodge a complaint. I also note that Step 10 of the claims process said that local call rates apply to that phone number (I have a screenshot of this) which is clearly untrue.0
