More Samsung Galaxy Cashback Questions

It's a link to the FAQ (frequently asked questions) of the offer on the Samsung website. http://www.samsung.com/uk/tab2cashback/faqs.html
Answers a lot of the questions people have asked about claiming the cash back like receipt numbers and order numbers and the timescale for claiming. Just read them and if you still are not sure then phone or email Samsung if you are able to.
Your questions should be directed to the manufacturer, Samsung, I would have thought rather than the retailer. The cash is coming from the manufacturer not the retailer, you just have to prove which retailer you purchased from and when it was purchased.0 -
I tried to telephone Samsung customer services today after submitting my cashback claim on Friday 28 December as I have received no confirmation email/claim ID. Held for fifteen minutes listening to recorded messages about how important my call was before being told I was number ten in the queue, then number 7, then number 5. Then the message said they were too busy to take any calls and I should email them. I have no idea if my claim has gone through on the website and Samsung is uncontactable - also failed to reply to two emails I sent. I don't want to resubmit my claim in case this makes things worse, but as I bought two tablets for my daughters there is £100 cashback at stake here.0

Finally managed to complete steps 1 …. 10 after many failures …… Hooray!
No Email therefore no claim ID number
Calls to the [No] Help Line result in a long and expensive wait.
I reached number one in the Q but then got the ‘We cannot take your call’ message followed by cut off.
Calls to Opia are not answered!
Conclusion ….. Samsung have hired a bunch of unprincipled confidence tricksters who are minimising payouts on the cashback offer and recovering as much money as they can from telephone calls whilst using devious methods to bar the majority of claims.
[Normally promotion management is done on a fixed fee contract so minimising payout increases return]
Samsung need to investigate their puppet company !
Samsung should have their Royal Warrant removed!
That will be real good advertising0 -

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Not denying there are issues, seen them posted in various threads but a lot of people have had their confirmation e-mails and also had an e-mail to say their cash back has been validated.
Personally been through the process twice, once with a Tab and once with a Chromebook and not had a single problem. Received confirmation for both and had both claims validated in about 16 days. Received my 8gb memory card within 2 weeks also.
I ordered back on November 9th and it seems most claims around that time went through fine, I think a couple of people were asked for photos of the actual device and that was it.0 -
Submitted my claim 15/12 and got validation yesterday. Don't panic!0

There is no panic just hundreds of very disgruntled and frustrated customers
that will now badmouth Samsung as they have not heard of OPIA
I have read many forums and hundreds of posts and note many people receiving sd cards and validations but I can not recall anyone saying that the cashback was in their account!
Bad P.R. inept promotion management and retailers feeling the backlash from customers because the retailer was the person who sold them the dream.
Samsung will regret this promotion methhinks!0
