my claim was validated 15th Dec with the following info "Your Samsung Back To College claim has now been validated. You will receive your cashback within 30 days of receipt of this email. Please allow up to an extra 5 working days for bank transfer delays."

the specified time hasn't expired just yet, but nothing received at the moment. anyone else with a similar validation date actually received their cashback yet?

We move ever closer
Recd. this ..Thank you for applying for the Samsung Back To College offer.
However your claim is missing the following required documentation:
Please provide a photo of the back of the tablet, clearly showing the model/serial number.
So we can process your claim please email documents@samsungbacktocollege.com and attach the file containing the copy of your receipt or invoice to this email. Once you have done this please click the send button to complete the process. Please ensure you include the Claim Reference given above. Please contact one of our promotional support associates for further help if required.
..

They had it all in the original claim but they obviously have to follow their new operating script ! I have resubmitted all they ask for within 3hours of their mail.
Seems like the breaching of original T&Cs is now universal.
My claim ID that they gave me does not work in the tracker and as we all know the expensive phonecall [No] help number is a waste of time and money.
Has anyone had a reply from Watchdog or OFCOM ?
• This is out of order... as mentioned earlier, they are obviously on a bonus from Samsung to reduce the number of successful claims... so are adding these extra hoops to jump through in the hope people will lose the will to live and give up.

I'm off to add my details to the Watchdog waiting list.
A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.
• I've had the following, 11 days after submission:
"However your claim is missing the following required documentation: Please confirm the difference in delivery address as it differs from users address.
So we can process your claim please email documents@samsungbacktocollege.com and attach the file containing the copy of your receipt or invoice to this email."

I ordered the tablet from John Lewis, for collection from the store. The receipt has my address as the billing address, but the John Lewis store as the delivery address.
Firstly, how stupid do you have to be not to be able to work this out?
Secondly, where in the T&Cs does it say that it has to be delivered to your home address?
Thirdly, what is the point in sending them the same receipt again?

Now waiting to hear back from them...

I think you are absolutely spot on with this - some of their new demands are ridiculous and outside the original T&Cs. A serial number, a buyer's name and an invoice are really all they need, they can cross-reference those to check they are genuine and that there are no duplicate claims. They are being deliberately obstructive.

good news! my claim that was validated 15th Dec, payment was received by bacs yesterday! (the 30th day from validation, so perhaps they are just holding the payment back for as long as possible).

so there is hope, good luck :)
