I received the validation email last night. In terms of waiting time for payment it states "You will receive your cashback within 30 days of receipt of this email. Please allow up to an extra 5 working days for bank transfer delays.".0

Yes, that's the one, and they've finally validated the claim.0 -
My claim from 26th December was validated yesterday. (I bought my tab from Tescos and had to send them a photo to prove its existance.)July Win: Nokia 58000

@Leono1
I sent it to documents@samsungbacktocollege.com and CC in help@samsungbacktocollege.com - just to make doubly sure I wasn't going to get ignored :-)0 -
I eventually got my 'validated' emails for both tablets last Saturday (26 January). Could not get confirmation emails from Tesco after emails and telephone calls but eventually after almost 7 weeks and another phone call received the VAT receipts the following day. Was told this was all they could do. They were having problems with their computer system the weekend I ordered both tablets (10 and 11 November). The girl had said that she could order VAT receipts but it could take 6 weeks. I was about a couple of days away from my 60 day deadline so made it by the skin of my teeth! I couldn't see what the problem was in resending my order confirmations because their system had not automatically sent them at the time. Also if anything goes wrong with the tablets I don't know if the VAT receipt(s) would be accepted as the guarantee. I'll still need to follow that up. I think a letter to Head Office may help but watch this space! After all, if we go in a Tesco store, we get a receipt so what is the difference?
I can't remember if I gave Samsung my bank account details or if the 2 x £50 will be paid to the credit card I used to purchase the tablets. Can anyone remember if they asked that question on the pages we had to complete online? If it just goes back to my credit card, it means that I can't withdraw it as charges are normally high for taking cash from credit cards. I have to give my sister £50 for her tablet cashback. It's been such an awful lot of work to complete this claim that my memory is a bit blurred with all the paperwork I've completed and printed but I couldn't print any of the Samsung pages because of how it was set up. Hoping someone can remind me if the bank account question was asked. Many thanks and so glad it is all over!!"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0 -
they asked for bank details, I remember they said it must be on the same name given for the cash back claim
mine got validated too, don't know why they were asking for the receipt to be sent again, maybe just trying to confused me and hope I would get away...? I sent back the same document quoting their t&c and this time they accepted it0 -
@ailey - yes you would have had to put in your back account details at some point during the original claim. All the hoops they make you jump through, it's ridiculous, it does make it confusing!
I was able to claim cashback from both Currys and Samsung - one tablet but two claims, two lots of rules and terms. One pays by cheque and one pays via the bank, and with different timescales. it's enough to make my head spin lol0 -
cheers for replys indie kid and gcogger

Thanks to terra_firma and indie_kid for your help. Because you've told me that they DID ask for bank account details, I now know which account to keep checking over the next 3 weeks lol! My head was so scrambled with it all and I was just hoping that it would not be paid to my credit card although I don't suppose it would have taken me long to use it up on there and just give my sister the £50 cash but better if it goes into the other account.
@indie_kid - Well done with your 2 claims but you must have been sooo stressed with it all. I know I certainly was, especially because I was trying to no avail to get my 2 Order Confirmation emails from Tesco with no success. Just as well that they managed to send me the VAT receipts after 7 weeks! Black marks to Tesco for this though. I do think between Tesco and Samsung that they were trying to reduce what they had to pay out but if companies offer these deals they have to be prepared for a great many people to take up the offer if it's worthwhile. Samsung also did not say in their original Terms and Conditions that you must upload a photo of the back of your tablet. This was so difficult to get as both our tablets are white and the writing was in grey and soooo tiny that it was so hard to pick it up without reflection. Hubby had to hold a magnifying glass while I took the photo at an angle. That was a job and a half and they would have to enlarge it to be able to kind of see the serial number. I'm sure they could be taken to task for changing the goalposts. I'm happy though that ours is validated and good luck to everyone who is still going through the process after purchasing at a later date.
Still have not received the 2 x £20 Tesco gift cards. The girl at Tesco, when I phoned, had said in early December that they had a backlog but I think I can say goodbye to these.
Thanks again to both of you. :A"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0 -
