Go again - but I doubt the person that has just made you the last offer will be interested in a new claim! Hello!
I'm a new poster, so hello to everyone!
I have had success in re-claiming my bank charges from HSBC, however a few months later our joint account has been hit by a £125 overdraft charge again, for going over the limit!
Maybe stupidly, I assumed these charges would stop after they paid them back before? Should I contact my bank about claiming back any more charges I get? I'm confused, surely they are admitting the charges are wrong when they paid them back, so how can they continue to charge?
Thanks for any advise!

Whilst I appreciate that it can be difficult, if you are reclaiming charges you really should do everything possible to avoid being charged in future.
They do have every right to charge if you go overdrawn or pay late. The problem is the amount they charge.
Claims in the small claims courts do not set legal precedents.
And most importantly, did the previous settlement have any conditions, like not claiming again? However, I do not believe that you can make someone sign away their rights under the law.
If not, its back to square one, I'm afraid. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Hi
Spoke to Nat West today and she said to put on the bottom of the acceptance form the new charges that have occurred since claiming and NAT WEST SHOULD put them onto the money already owing, which they say will go back into account. The lady at NAT WEST was extremely pleasant and understanding and she tells me that at this present time that it is Nat Wests policy to pay the full amount owing to customers, so have done that and sent it recorded Delivery as i do all letters like this. So I can just wait.

I'm still getting charges since starting this process beginning of march (very skint thanks to halifax), has anyone claimed back charges again after getting their money back? halifax have been so unsympathetic to me over the last 20 odd years that i feel like carrying on - and on and on - especially as they keep trying to get me to apply for loans etc (which i can't get due to bad credit history!) i know they will eventually get sick of me and close my account but i'm in a fighting mood, p.s. this site is fantastic!

Just because you have claimed, it does not change the fact that their charges are still unlawful. So go get um!Got It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0 -
Can anyone give me some advise?
I have recently had a pay out from HSBC for my bank charges over the last 6 years. Now my only winge is, and I'm well aware that if I stopped going over my over draft I wouldn't be getting charged but having a new baby, pants maternity pay and a self employed partner its hard not to at the moment. Anyway they are still charging me huge charges and I don't even get a letter or phone call telling me I'm getting close to my overdraft. I wouldn't mind too much if it was £20-£30 but I'm getting charged £150!!
My question being should I make another claim?
Any feedback is gratefully received.
Thanks

It looks like you are going to have to. However, were there any countervailing conditions to the settlement of your previous claim? The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

I wonder if anyone can help me? I am currantly waiting to hear from lloyds about my claim with them but since i have incurred more charges in my account. Can i claim these charges back? Even though i already have a claim ongoing with them. Will i need to do a differant claim with them if i win this one? Does anyone know if you win do you have to SIGN the agreement of terms and conditions before they give you your money.
Thanks in advance.
