hi all,
I wrote my bank a letter before action letter saying I want my money within 14 days or I'll go to court. their response was a rubbish offer or 125 out the 490 im claiming, unfortunately I didnt do anything else untill I found the letters and my files today. they say in the offer letter that if they do not hear from me within 8 weeks they will assume that I am happy..... Im not happy but that letter was sent on 27th september 2006. can I still just take them to court now even though its months after? or should I send another letter before action note rejecting their offer and setting a new deadline for them?0 -
Should i now write the next letter saying i may take them to court if my case isn't resolved within 14 days or shall i wait up to 7 weeks????? they've kept me waiting to long so far, they didn't reply to my first letter for at least 20 days!!!0

Hi there i have applied for my bank charges in march and recived all the statements back and have had a reply back from my bank saying thankyou for requesting your bank charges we will aim to get back to you with a response to this claim within 6-7 weeks as it says there is a lot of work to do in assesing this.
I am claming for £1872.00 plus interest so the total is £2450.00 do you think they are trying to delay time and if so do you think i should write again saying they need to complete this sooner?
thanks for any advice

Its not so much of them delaying rather than they are busy, send off your next letter in your timescale according to Martin's step by step guide.0

Hi
After 4 months of chasing NatWest for a refund, I have at last received my first official reply from them. It says that due to the work involved in assessing my claim they will contact me within 6-8 weeks with a response.
Should I wait patiently, or should I issue Court papers?
Please Help0 -

I issued Court papers within 3 weeks of my first letter asking for my money, despite them saying it would take 8 weeks, they have 4 from 3 days ago to enter a defence.....:TPersonnal Ebay Challenge - If we don't use it, flog it!

hi people, i recieved a letter today saying Thank you for your recent letter regarding the fees applied to your account. We are currently considering your claim. Given the work involved in assesing your claim we anticipate that we will be in a position to respond within 6-7 weeks, but will endevour to do so sooner if we are able to. Question is should i wait or what, any advice would be good. cheers

Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0
