    https://enroll.amexnetwork.com/GB/en/ChristmasCampaign2012/

    Double membership rewards, 1% extra cashback or double avios, depending on your card, at select retailers until Christmas.

    No, worked fine for me. Bought three hoodies in the outlet store in Gunwharf Portsmouth, which were reduced from 32.99 to 19.97 in their "sale".

    Have got confirmation of cashback from foursquare on each of the transactions. Hasn't cleared on Cards yet, but don't anticipate a problem.
    Hi mike, come across a slight anomoly with £5 cashbackh .Nothing too much,but beware;;;
    I hit my 3 cards as you know, but my statement was due yesterday, so I owed them , and paid for 6 transactions , but no £5 cashback;;;, as I clear all my cards monthly by DD.
    Today there are the 6x £5 refunds on my new statement, the only things on at present, so I now have to buy more to use my 6 x £5 =£30, at several more shops on my hit list, which are butchers, so I will just spend £45 there , instead of £15 on 3 cards, to use up the £30 . The anomoly is, I spent £30 on last statement I would not normally have spent at that time,, wine, curry takeaways.but, the upside is, my butchers aint likely to leer at me when I spend £45 instead of £15.;;some aint happy doing it, and these have just had amex installed, I will probably be thier first user;;:rotfl:
    Hope this makes sense.
    BEWARE of doing lots of purchases of unnescessary goods a few days before your monthly DD payment from bank, amex hold £5 refunds to put on next statement;;;;;;;;probably not intentional, but the 3-5 clearing days for refund mean you payed for stuff, you didn,t need.
    They keep e-mailing me, spend spend, viv nic:beer:
    PS;; GAP;; The wife said the girl showed wife promo,;; not sure,;;; she,s going in again, loading app to daughters i-phone.

    joe134 - The Foursqure only offers, (Gap, Argos, Harvey Nicholas etc) are only available if you check-in to the store and activate the offer, it is not possible to do this without using Foursquare.

    I figure 99.9% of people working at these stores know nothing about the offers, unless a customer has told them, but either way, they don't need to know anything, since it's managed via Foursquare and Amex, all you need to do is activate the offer, (on Foursquare), and then spend the minimum amount, you will then get a credit on your statement a few days later.
    Thanks Adam, so I have to have I-phone??to check in... Sorry about confusion, it,s me, too much shopping.

    Hi, I tried to use the £5 offer at a local shop a couple of weeks back and they looked at me like I was an alien -they have never taken Amex cards!

    However, I was in London Monday/Tuesday (I won tickets to the secret Rihanna gig) and I still tend to check in using the foursquare app. I was surprised that when I checked in at Covent Garden the £5 off came up- the details said that it could be used at any retailer in Covent Garden. I spent £10 in The Disney Store, so I'm hoping that the £5 credit will be eligible.

    Also got £5 off at Starbucks last week with this, so overall rather impressed with this now :)

    My experience with the Foursquare checkin rewards (outside of the £5 small shop bonus, is that it shows a 'successful' use message in the Foursquare app within half an hour of using the card.

  • I actually found a link to the printable voucher here on MSE:

    vouchers . moneysavingexpert . com / vouchers / selfridges_20_2.jpg

    With this and the £25 AMEX credit on a £50 spend this weekend with the ShopWestEnd2012 promo this turns out to be a great sale.

    Best use offer is £62.50 item for £25. (£62.50 -> £50 after 20% off, then £25 credit).

    Not sure that's a good idea. thetrainline charge a £1 booking fee, and a £3.50 Card payment fee, so total £4.50. Buy your tickets at any train company websites, and you won't pay any fees.

    Even better, book through redspottedhanky.com via. their facebook page and you get 2% worth of loyalty points back (or direct, 1%), or eastcoast.co.uk offer 1 point per pound, but the points can also be redeemed at the rate 500 points = free single train ticket on East Cost.
