No, the Comet (or is it Currys, they're all the same) as you go past Homebase and the Council Tip a bit further on.

Yep that is Excel, and a relative lives near there who I think could be persuaded to collect a ticket! :D

As for the Co-op/Greyhound Stadium at Hove, it's Euro Car Parks. Been there, done that, not got the ticket (the old ECP guy is hardly ever on site!).

Letter now sent to McDonalds CEO pointing out MET's suspension, including lots of quotes from here and PePiPoo from McDonalds customers who have been victimised by MET, pointing out the ruling in Parking Eye vs. Somerfield about the tortious nature of empty threats of legal action, and inviting McD to consider to what extent it might be vicariously liable for tortious acts on the part of its agents.

The only thing about McDonalds and all these type of places is that they are mostly franchises run as businesses separate from the main company. I don't know how effective this will be to be honest, but its still worth giving them a headache over it I guess.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I quote from MET's "Testimonials" web page:

“MET's service has increased the ease with which our customers can park and this has had a positive impact on our business. It is important to McDonald‘s that all our customers have an opportunity to park in the car parks adjacent to our restaurants. We have now employed the services of MET in a number of locations where our car parks had previously been abused by shoppers, taxi drivers, chauffeurs and even people travelling abroad and using our car parks for free long-term parking."

    - Alison Purves, Communications Manager, McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd

Sounds like a corporate-level arrangement to me! I cannot believe that McD will be anything but furious that MET have allowed this to happen.

Now written to Savills too, who also feature heavily on that MET web page.

Poor Patrick Troy is still under the illusion that being a member of the BPA makes the PPCs whiter than white:-

    http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/9987114.Parking_bosses_call_for_ticketers____code/

Patrick Troy said: “The ban on clamping and towing away without lawful authority means it is still possible for so-called ‘rogue ticketers’ to operate throughout the UK, causing distress to motorists.

“We would like to see better regulation of the private parking sector than the coalition Government has offered.”

He also said that all parking firms should be forced to join the BPA. “Currently membership of the BPA, the industry’s professional body, is an ‘opt in’ system and this needs to change so that all motorists are treated fairly and there are legal repercussions for operators who decide not to sign up.”

What I suspect the BPA means when it refers to "better regulation of the private parking sector" is "make PPC invoices legally enforceable". Er, no thanks.

Mr Troy wants all PPCs to join his little club, so he gets more money from subscriptions.

The poster on PPP says that there are companies with similar names. So I'm not so sure that the above company is one of Mr. Whitehouse's.

The one that has been banned is:-

    ANPR PC LIMITED
    145-157 ST JOHN STREET
    LONDON
    ENGLAND
    EC1V 4PY
    Company No. 07279811

and has only been in existence since June 2010.

ANPR Limited is Trevor Whitehouse's firm, hope it's them! :rotfl:

But his last firm was based in Preston so maybe not.
