 Imagine all you like.
I had no complaints and neither did he, way back in the days before internet shopping.
I certainly wouldn't have been telling him I could just about squeeze in a four minute fumble between 8 and 8.04 on a Saturday morning, for example, as he would have needs as much as I did. There are more tactful ways to go about it than that, and they certainly wouldn't have gone the way of telling him to bog off and sort himself out. Because even then, I knew, as did he, it was about more than those couple of seconds of release.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll 0 0

But don't you think it's becoming a bit of a chore because he feels you're expecting it? It's a bit of a catch 22 really.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

It is interesting that you use the past tense...The opposite of what you know...is also true0

Thank you. I can vouch for this, as I work 12 hour days, and so does my OH - -sometimes on opposite shifts. We don't plan to work like this for ever (the dreaded saving for a deposit!!).
It just really gets on my goat when someone belittles the daily grind and struggle that people who work such long hours go through..like it is a breeze. The opposite of what you know...is also true0

Yup. I met someone else. And then later, I met someone else.
Nowdays, with my current boyfriend, it isn't as frequent. Rheumatoid arthritis and medication has put paid to that. However, even so, there is no reason for complaints from either side.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll 0 0

I think 12 hour days are becoming more normal now. It's what my OH does (I'm talking from leaving home to coming home, not an actual 12 hour shift). At least you actually have set weekends together - its even harder when you don't!0
