    What options are selected ?

    Neither option is selected. :o

Should I have selected "Quick Format"? The other option "Create an MS-DOS startup disk" is greyed out.

There has to be something against Capacity, File System and Allocation Unit Size at least.

    format.jpg

OK. Go back to My Computer. Right Click on J drive, Click Properties. On the General tab, what is shown against:-
    • Type:
    • File System:

When I created a Word document and attempted to save it to the J drive I got the following message
    "J:\filename.doxc
    File not found.
Check the file name and try again.".
