I noticed when I logged into my barclaycard account today the old card had disappeared. It now shows the reward card but doesn't show the balance of the previous card.

    Anyone else had this?

When you applied for the new card did you upgrade your old card or apply for a new separate one?

At the moment, the 'new' card gives a balance of zero whereas my old card had £2K! Unlikely the balance has actually disappeared! :-)

I'm fingers crossed for the £120 cap, and then the rest of the top five transactions to be at 2% as I've gone above the limit at 6% - will find out next week.

Did we ever find out what happens in this situation? I've now gone significantly over the limit with top 5 transactions over £120.

My statement came through today, and I'm struggling to figure out exactly how my cashback has been applied - I was expecting from my first three statements:

    £2000 at 6% = £120
    £334 at 2% = £6.68
    £612 at .5% = £3.06
    Total = £129.74

    But, I've actually accumulated £134.87.

I've also still not been charged the annual fee. :)
  • I'm still trying to figure out why BC had to make such a complicated card lol

Thanks for posting this. My third statement should make for interesting reading then.

    Hi Mikbruin

It's not possible to transfer from a Mastercard product to a Visa product. We're sorry if this was not made clear at the time of your initial request. Although you can't transfer, you can look to add this card by applying for this as a separate account.

    Thanks

I have now requested my 4th form but I guess from this the reason they have not been ariving is due to the Mastercard to Visa issue.

What surprises me is the CS rep I spoke to knew nothing of this and nor did the supervisor they spent a lot of time speaking to. If this is a known issue why is it not being communicated to the relevant staff?

I have escalated a complaint and tbh I would hope to get a small goodwill gesture as recompense for the time I have wasted on this. Plus not knowing the true situation I have made other credit applications recently that I probably would not have done had I known I would be applying for a seperate Barclaycard.
    I think....
  • My previous balance didn't show up until third day of switch to Cashback... previous statements are still unavailable (any statements even latest). I called them to ask about it, they said once account is switched you cannot see statements if you had them online only... they can provide you paper ones for free.

By the way, some people reported enormous waiting times before switch. In my case it was one month before receiving modified agreement and then it was switched on my next statement day and card was delivered two days after.

Luckily reading this thread I managed to get online message stating 6% promo offer for 3 months before applying, even that there is no mention of that in my modified agreement, now if not paid it would be simple misselling compliant. Thank you guys!
