    Hi Barclaycard Rep

I asked to have my existing platinum card transferred to cashback on 27th December by phone. I was told I will be sent a new agreement to sign. 3+ weeks later I am still waiting for this.

    2 Questions.

    How long should I wait?
Once I do receive it and send it back how long till I get the card?

    Thanks
    I think....

After just over a month I am getting to the point where I am reaching the £120 limit for the first three months at 6%. I've been putting our weekly shop on here and that alone is earning me about £9.90 a time!
Are you sure? (You only get five qualifying purchases per month at the top rate of cashback remember)

Weekly shop, 4/5 weeks in a month, 5 transactions at the top rate per month...? Sounds about right.
  • No sign of the fee on either of my first 2 statements either which is good!

Anniversary date online says 16 November. Does this mean the 4% would be on my 16 December statement? If so that's great - they took so long sending me the new agreement/card I was convinced it would be the month after.

Another strange thing is that at the beginning of this week (just before my statement) I had only made 14 transactions and so got an email reminding me to use the card 15 times to get the 6% booster. BUT it also said next month I'll be on the 2% booster - incorrect as it's 3 months not 2 at 6%. I'll be calling to moan if I've only had the 2% when next months statement comes!

I actually got my mum to put Christmas stuff on it so I got the cashback on a new bed and a new tv as well xD

Expect to wait a long time. I can't remember exactly how long mine took to arrive but I posted it on this thread. Really annoyed me tbh.

For me it was about six to seven weeks from me applying to transfer my card to receiving it. Then when I did receive it, my first "month" of 6% cashback lasted for about eight days. Thankfully I've now managed to reach my £120 limit of cashback for the first three months.

When you've waited a bit, ring barclaycard and complain - they'll probably credit your account some cash by way of apology... :)
  • I remember someone else mentioned they had experienced disappearing transactions when their card was switched over. Turns out I did too and about £100 has just appeared on my statement after two months. Its mine to pay so I will pay it but just a warning to everyone to watch out.
