Barclaycard need to point out that the 6% cashback during the first 3 months is not eligible to anyone switching cards, with a modifying agreement. I had my suspicions when it wasnt mentioned in the terms and conditions, then had it confirmed via email.-
'Thanks for your message.
In response to your enquiry, I regret to inform you that the promotional cashback offer of 6% cashback in the 1st 3 statements is only for new customers applying for this product.
Existing customers, you are switching their existing card to this product will not be eligible for 6% cashback in the 1st 3 statements.'
Now I have no idea if someone already had a barclaycard, then apply for a cashback card also.....will this include the 6% offer for 3 months?
Either way with mis selling in the news I think Barclaycard are sailing a little close to the wind with this. There is nothing stated regarding current customers not being eligible for the 6% cashback in the t&c, only the rates used ie. 4% 0.5% etc with no mention of 6% at all.
This is underhand by Barclaycard and could have cost lots of people to spend far more than usual to gain the 6% cashback, only to find out they are not eligible to it. Not to mention switching from a fee free card to a mis sold product with an account fee of £24.0 -

I transfered with a modifying agreement and got the 6% rate.Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670 -
Did your agreement state you would be entitled to 6% cashback?0

Thanks for that. Either they have changed the terms then or they have individual agreements set up per customer.0

I had a bog standard barclaycard which I wasn't using, received it when Barclaycard took over Egg. I changed this card fod the cashback card and I have been receiving the 6% introductory rate.0

Has anyone had their third statement and gone over the £120 6% cash back limit? If so what happens if you have top 5 transactions that put you over the £120 limit? Do you get cash back at 2% on these or is everything for the rest of the month half a percent?Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670

I'm fingers crossed for the £120 cap, and then the rest of the top five transactions to be at 2% as I've gone above the limit at 6% - will find out next week.0

I noticed when I logged into my barclaycard account today the old card had disappeared. It now shows the reward card but doesn't show the balance of the previous card.
Anyone else had this?If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0
