Cashback Barclaycards!!!

It said the fee was waived for the first year but after my anniversary they never charged me. I thought it might have been because they knew they were removing the fee and changing the product but if others have been charged recently this is obviously not the case.Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670

i see.
well, i remember that i delayed applying and by that time they had started to charge a £24/yr fee. i didn't mind paying it, as i knew i would be able to generate cashback at a really good rate.
no problem though...it will all work out nicely.0 -
I have both the High 5 and the (ex-Egg Money) World Mastercard, but I haven't yet had a letter (on either account) about the withdrawal of these deals and the conversion to the Amex/Visa dual account.
Just wondered if anyone else was in a similar position?0 -
Same here. Makes me wonder if they're trying to figure out what to do with us - would be daft to replace the visa and mastercard with two visas and two amexs. I wonder if they'll just merge the limits?0

it wouldnt be bad if they did0

Have others started getting their new cards yet?
If I hear nothing, I'll cancel the High 5 before I get charged another years subscription fee (but that isn't until December anyway, so unlikely.).

Further to my post I got a letter today mentioning both of my accounts and stating that they are moving each one to Barclaycard Cashback. The letter goes on to say I will get a separate info pack for each account next week (legal requirement).
So it looks like I will be getting two sets of Barclaycard Cashback combined Amex/Visa accounts...
This works for me as the o/h is currently using the World Mastercard account and so we can continue to keep our spending separate. For others, I imagine Barclaycard would be able to close one of the dual Amex/Visa accounts and combine the credit limit with the other.
I paid the annual fee of £24 for the High 5 account in Jan/Feb so will be looking for a proportionate refund of that from the date of the change. Otherwise I am not too bothered about the changes as I have other cashback cards I can use in conduction with the new Barclaycards.0 -

They gave me two visas when they bought both Morgan Stanley, and then Goldfish. I have two BarclayCard Visas - a cashback, and a premium or platinum or something that I don't use.
A lot of my spending is at Amazon, so I may go for the above-mentioned Amazon card.Carl0 -
it might be worth asking Barclaycard to merge your two limits onto one card...whichever is most use to you. or even apply for a third card that has features that would be useful to you, and then ask them to merge your two existing limits onto that.0

You're too late, Amazon have withdrawn the card.
Finally got my letters last week - both my accounts are being switched over, so I will wind up with 2xAmex and 2xVisa. I've put in the obligatory complaint, applied the thumbscrews and walked away with an account credit. Once I've had my bonus £15 off the egg card, I'll just switch to using whichever account offers the best statement/payment dates.
Looking around, at present this new cashback account looks to be one of the best available - other cards offer a bit more, but not much and it'll be cancelled out by fees anyway. I see both MBNA and Lloyds are also offering twin card accounts.0
