Cashback Barclaycards!!!

Thanks horngkai, did your cashback get credited at the end of month 12/beginning of month 13, or only at the end of month 13?0

It was paid just days after the statement of month 120

Thank you very much for the info, very kind of you to check and confirm.
I'm nearly at the end of month 13, and I've not had my cashback yet. I therefore think, unlike your case, that I will receive my cashback at the end of month 13 or the very beginning of month 14 and then I will receive my 4% bonus after my cashback has been paid (like you) - but in month 14.
I think the difference for me is that my month 12 statement date was before my anniversary date.
I hope I'm right, as I can't get a straight story out of BC other than an implication that I will receive double cashback NEXT month. If I'm wrong and this turns out to be the 4% month, then I stand to lose > £100 in extra cashback, so fingers crossed!
Thanks again for digging out the detailed info, it backs up my thoughts about how things will pan out.0 -
Barclaycard just emailed me to confirm the current month is at 4%, and that it will be every year.0

Sounds like my old pay packet, overly complex so that you never know if you've been paid right or not.
Depending on your spending patterns it may or may not work out better than the Amex 1.25% or the Capital One 0.5% but tiered up to 1.25%
just to say, i am using this card & finding it to be good. and generating cashback nicely.
i use it as a backup to my Amex card & tend to make up to 15 purchases with lottery tickets.0 -

i find that they are well behind with these notifications, as my statement date is early in the month. experience tells me it is best to check things on the phone with them, and note the date, time and person i speak to.0 -
I applied for this card when it first appeared and it's saved - no, it's made me plenty, as I spend about £1500-£2000 a month on it with well over the 15 monthly transaction limit, making me about £200 annually, less the £24 fee. I pay the card off every month so it's a good bargain!
Just the other day though, I had a weasel worded letter from Barclaycard telling me that the card was to be withdrawn, and replaced with TWO cards - an Amex card with a 1% cashback rate and a Barclaycard with a niggardly 0.5% cashback rate. Worse thing is of course that there's lots of places that won't accept Amex.
What's really annoying is that the letter tries to convince that it's a good deal because it's 'simpler'. Maybe so - I didn't find the existing card at all hard to understand.
I guess it was too good to last. Time to look for a new deal...0 -
Likewise, I got the letter yesterday. There aren't any good paying Cashback cards about these days. But I'll go with the flow and see how it works out with the 2 Barclaycards..If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0

I've had the letter as well. The new offer is terrible!
Looks like I won't even make it to the anniversary of my card opening!
Having looked around there aren't many cashback offers around at the moment. Maybe some more will be launched at the time Barclaycard actually close this one. I imagine there will be lots of customers looking for a better offer to move to when this one finishes.0
