Cashback shows up once per month when your statement is produced.
Cannot see it earlier as the cashback amount depends on your top five purchases for that statement period. So until that statement period is over, it is impossible to calculate.0 -

This is why I created the spreadsheet which is posted earlier in the forum.lawstudent wrote: »I don't know if anyone is interested but I have made a spreadsheet that allows you to play around with your monthly spends to maximise your cashback or alternatively just work out based on your current spending patterns what cashback to expect on a monthly and yearly basis.
You can download the spreadsheet here. Don't worry it's not a virus I promise.

If you want to alter the cashback percentage to represent the introductory rate or anniversary rate go to Tools>Protection>Unprotect Sheet. (I have protected it because there are some complicated formulas most people probably won't want to upset.)Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670 -

Cant't see that anyone has answered this yet - so I will!!!!
Had cashback over the £120 limit in the first two months.
this month's (3rd) statement was for £449.92.
Cashback was for £2.24.
So once you go over the £120 limit, all cashback will be for the 0.5% rate. You do not get the 2%. Which is what I was expecting to be honest.0 -
I agree with miketaff1408. Exceeded £120 in first 2 months. Only 0.5% in month 3. Annoyingly there was a large purchase that went through at the end of month 3. Had it been a couple of days later it would have qualified for 2%.
Spoke to BarclayCard to get clarity on this (to see if I should get the 2% rate). Initially I was told that the large purchase for 11 hotel rooms didn't qualify because it was an excluded item. I escalated this, then I was told it would be added at the end of the year. I queried this and was told the £120 cashback limit was per month (the website wasn't 100% clear on this). Finally she admitted it was £120 in total and credited me £20 for the confusion.
Anyway, the cashback has still easily paid for my annual fee so I am happy!
My anniversary date is 04 Dec 13 with my statement being produced on the 20th of each month. I'm hoping this means I'll get the 4% cashback starting on the 21st Dec - just in time for my usual last minute Christmas shopping!0 -

But Barclaycard's pages state:a 6% welcome bonus on your top five monthly purchases. You can earn up to £120 cashback on these during your first three months.
and when you click for more information:Earn 2% cashback on your top five monthly purchases and 0.5% on everything else. All you need to do is use your card 15 times each month for the 2% booster to kick in (conditions apply).
Enjoy a 6% welcome bonus on your five biggest monthly purchases. You can earn up to £120 cashback on these during your first three months (conditions apply).4.2 Additional cashback[2%]: If you make at least 15 Eligible Purchases during any Statement Period, you will earn additional cashback at the rate of 1.5% on your Top Purchases for that Statement Period.
4.4 We may from time to time pay higher cashback rates on certain transactions (“Promotional Cashback”). Promotional Cashback may be subject to additional terms and conditions.
So the 6% offer, which covers a period of 3 statements not one, necessarily covers a period when '15' (One Five) purchases can get 2% under these T&Cs anyway - whether or not the top five of these somehow get a further 4% - taking them to 6%.
It sounds as though it's result of a programming error though. If they've just programmed the '2%' [1.5% top up] as '6%' [a top up of 5.5%] for three statement periods and capped its value at £120 [£110] then further purchases which would be eligible for topping up will be 'capped out' automatically......under construction.... So I just got another letter saying a modifying agreement is on the wayn - even though I have been advised on here that my Mastercard can never be transferred to a visa cashback card.
Given this I think I will try applying for a new card instead but does anyone know how they are about credit searches, I did a new phone at the turn of the year, a remortgage a week later and an aquacard 3 weeks ago (as I had given up expecting the barclaycard any time soon)? Does being an existing customer (with a 0% BT offer) count against as well?I think....0 -

It does however say you will be charged in the first month then refunded in the second. Neither of which have happened to me yet. The woman from customer services said I would just be charged the usual fee on the 13th month I.E. I would get the product free for a year.
I applied through Quidco which had an offer of no annual fee in the first year but I've been charged the fee on my second statement. I know that Barclaycard tracked the referral from Quidco properly because my credit agreement recognises them (by their official name Maple Syrup Media) as the credit intermediary.0 -
So did anyone get their fee refunded automatically?
