  • Thought I'd bump this thread.

Currently using a Blackberry Torch. Am tempted to go for an IPhone because I have an iPad and know how it works. BUT friends are telling me to go for an Samsung S3. I will go to a shop to have a play but here is a list of my needs. Would appreciate some advice based on this.

    1. I'm a crafter and sell via Facebook. I need to float seamlessly between FB, photos on my phone and Whatsapp. The SD slot in the s3 is v appealing.

    2. I need a good camera to take pics of my items so I can upload onto Facebook quickly.

    3. Im a mum of 5 so need to keep to do lists, have an interactive calendar etc.

    4. I'm fed up of kids hogging the iPad. I know they'll do the same with an iPhone. For this the S3 wins as they have no knowledge of what's possible on that phone!!

    5. I don't want to spend more than £25 a month. Ideally.

    6. I'd like to listen to songs on YouTube and be on diff web pages - apparently you can with an S3.

Am I right in thinking I'll be happier with an S3? But it has to have a good camera.

    Thanks in advance!!

IMO, both phones (most smartphones actually) easily meet 1-3.
    (5) would be more difficult to achieve with iPhone5 unless you pay a lot upfront (nothing wrong with this) or get very small allowances.

S3 on O2 with unltd+unltd+1Gb is available for £0+24x£26, probably even cheaper.
However, without wifi even 1Gb may be not sufficient for youtube.

    Don't know about 6.

An interesting alternative to consider is Nexus 4 - Google aggressive on price
