Your might be waving a red sheet in a field full of bulls0

Google reviews of both and choose
You'll get arguments for both on here and any forum. Depends what you want to do with it tbh and how much you want to spend0 -
Each operating system has their rabid fans who dont like the other
From an objective point of view however Im asking myself the same question
Personally Im leaning towards the S3 for the following:
1) its not an iphone
2) over 2y the total cost is approx £570 (deals inc Quidco) versus £1100 for a similar contract
3) again its a personal thing but IMHO the killer app on the iphone is 4G but as EE havent said how much this will cost above the £1100 cost Im not interested yet
4) Google traffic on their Android map app is just superb, it may be that OS6 has this but on Android its live, its free, its mature and it has saved me hours stuck in traffic jams this summer alone
In its favour the iphone manages music more easily via itunes, however drag and drop or several apps from the Google Market also do this albeit with a bit more hassle
And dont forget the new Apple connector

It's also worth bearing in mind if the 4g LTE is likely to sway you towards the iPhone. A new Samsung S3 LTE version is due for release soon.0

Oh no....here we go again.....
Do yourself a favour and take a look at the new WP8 Lumias (especially the 920)
They should be out soon....then you'll take yourself out of the great (and totally pointless) Android vs Apple argument.0 -
Bit of a difficult question to answer without you saying if there is anything in particular that you want/need your phone to do... The Samsung can be had cheaper on a contract but i you're planning on buying the handset outright and going down the SIM only route then the difference in price isn't so much (the iPhone is about £30-40 more). To me the build quality of the iPhone would be worth that premium, I've used a Samsung before and thought it felt cheap an nasty.
You're unlikely to get a straight answer on here (or any other website). But for my 2p - the Samsung has 'better' specs on paper but as far as I'm concerned, smartphones are defined by the apps available to them rather than slight differences in technical capabilities. The Apple App Store is probably the best supported for now but who knows how much longer that will be the case. For me personally, I'll be upgrading my ageing iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 5 as I have spent enough money on apps over the years (which I don't think can be converted over to android) to make is difficult for me to leave the iPhone format.0 -

OK I got the maths wrong
The Samsung can be had for £22/month on contract minus QUIDCO with 300 mins, loads of texts and 750MB of data with the same again via Wifi - which is plenty for me - total £470
The best iphone deal would be £530 for the phone then 24 months @ £10 for Giffgaff's 250 min deal which gives a total of £770 but only on 3G
So thats £300 difference
Or if you prefer the iphone is over half as much cash again more expensive
The iphone is clearly a lot more expensive - which for me is the deal breaker as it doesnt seem to offer that much more
For sure 4G is great but as EE havent said how much extra that will cost and Voda and O2 possibly wont even support 4G on the iphone 5 Im happy to continue to think Android
cheers0 -

In fact the iPhone 5 will never work with O2 or Vodaphone as, once they get 4G up and running, it will be on a different frequency from that of EE and one that the iPhone5 doesn't support.
You will have to wait for the iPhone5S (or 6) to use 4G on Voda or O2.0
