Just called CPW three times.
First time was disconnected after being on hold for about 5 mins.
Second time, spoke to someone and he put me on hold to check my account (yeah right ), after five mins of that (their phone bill not mine), I called again.
Third time, spoke to someone else, usual talk about why leaving, others out there are rogues, etc., cheapest they could do was £4.50pm , then on hold and it comes down to £3 something .
Having a quick look around, my dad (it's his account now), can get all he needs for £1.11 a month with a free phone from mobiles.co.uk.
Hence I now have to send a letter giving a reference number to Southampton; will be going off today, I'm not playing anymore.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
Anyone know if they are offering the HTC Desire or Sony Ericsson X10 on CPW 02 upgrades yet?
I went into my local CPW store and they best they could offer was £35 a month on a 24 month contract for the Sony Ericsson X10.
£840 total cost over 24 months.
T-mobile (direct, not through CPW) seem to have some aggressive pricing on both the X10 and HTC desire at the moment, so I wonder what chance I have got getting CPW O2 to match?
For the X10 Tmobile are offering £10 per month (24 months) with phone cost of £226 giving £466 total (possible £35 cashback as well, or tmobile will reduce phone price directly to £191 if you ask them nicely on the phone!)
For the Desire Tmobile are offering £10 per month (24 months) with phone cost of £164 giving £404 total (possible £35 cashback as well, or tmobile will reduce phone price directly to £129 if you ask them nicely on the phone!)
What are the chances of getting CPW O2 cancellations dept to match or better these deal? Any one had any luck yet?0 -

Well, grayme-m a few posts earlier reckons you can do much better than that. And also, I upgraded my missus' phone last month on the same deal (different bolt-on) and we agreed on £540 cashback.
Tell them that you know for sure they can do better (because I've just told you so) and tell them you're leaving if they can't match it. If they call your bluff you can always swallow your pride and take them up on their previous offer a little later on!0 -
Ok, I'm calling to begin negotiations in the morning (well it's 2.15am now, but I'm thinking at a more sensible time).
I'm on the £35p/m tariff (600 mins / 1000 texts / 200 min bolt on). Currently receiving cashback meaning a net p/m of £1.66.
Anyone had any deals that come anywhere close to that recently?0 -
I was on £30/month, less discount, effectively £10 per month for 400 mins, 1000 txt and internet. I've been through to upgrades (no use) and loyalty (same), who cannot/will not offer me a continuation of the existing sim only. Loyalty offered me a cashback deal. I said no: I've had to threaten CPW with legal action too often. I'm waiting to closer to the day.0

Funny how some people seem to get made offers straight away yet others have such grief.
This is exactly the deal I got for my wife 2 months ago. Did you mean unlimited web? I'm also looking to buy the HTC Desire SIM free and hoping to get this deal too. Where did you get your desire from?
However, I was also considering switching to a tariff offered by buymobilephones.net on T-Mobile. Get a crappy Nokia phone and similar mins/texts/web but with 100% cashback over 18 months. Just a bit hesitant about getting the cashback through that company!0 -

thanks for the reply, i tried but they wouldnt budge on the offer, so i asked them to cancel it, just going to wait till they release the htc desire, and then switch networks if they cant match the deal offered by virgin (£35, 18m)0
