Anyone know if they are offering the HTC Desire or Sony Ericsson X10 on CPW 02 upgrades yet?0

Mine comes to 5p/m. Do you think this is a good deal and I should go and buy a phone elsewhere if needed? Or perhaps change network or go direct?
Thanks.
My mistake... It's £1.66 p/m!! I'm currently on the £35 p/m deal and getting £600 cashback (£200 each time). Equating to a net of £1.66 p/m.
That's about to expire now though. The best anyone's being offered is on the same tariff with £540 cashback - equating to £5 p/m.
A couple of the dodgier sites are offering slightly better cashback deals than that, but CPW are by far the best I've ever used for cashback reliability.
If you're not too bothered about phone and prepared to buy a cheapo run-of-the-mill jobby then I'd go for that offer!0 -
Ta very much!0

I usually just get the cheapest deal when upgrading and have kept my phone for years. Currently on the £35 p/m deal with 600 mins, 200 mins bolt on, 1000 double texts, lots of cashback so paying net £1.33 p/m.
Upgraded my missus to the same again the other week and managed to get £5 p/m after cashback on the same tariff.
I'm thinking of upgrading to iPhone or Blackberry. Any deals if you threaten to change network do you think? Or by going for one of those phones am I destined to paying over the odds?
Any tips to getting one of those phones on the cheap? I was thinking of renewing my current deal and keeping my old phone, then buying a Blackberry, but I think I need some sort of special data plan for that.
Cheers
Anyone with experience of this that can give me some tips?0 -
Help! I just called 02 CPWH and though they'd offered to renew my contract ie 540 cb, 600mins 35pm actual being 5quid. It was confirmed to me again today but when I called back to take it a few mins later the guy said no I couldn't get 540 cash back cos that ended deal 6months ago!! I said it was offered to me today and 3 days ago. He says no and that he can only do 475??
What should I do? Thanks.0 -

Tell him you can quote people who have had that deal in recent weeks (I have certainly had it). If they can't do it then ask for your PAC code and sit on it. You don't have to actually do anything with it and it'll expire if you do nothing with it in 30 days, but chances are they'll either back down or call you back to make you the offer you want.0 -

CPW O2 have been pretty annoying recently.
Between the 4-6 weeks before my contract expiry, they called several times a day from different numbers. When I was able to speak to someone, they offered regular tariffs only, fair enough as I couldn't leave for free at that point anyway. You'd think they'd at least make a bit of effort to try and lock customers in before they ask for their start looking around much or request their PAC though.
When I called retentions with 4 weeks to go until contract expiry, they kept trying to push 24 month deals with cashback. When I told them of an 18 month deal I'd seen for *much* less, they said they couldn't match it and said I should just get my PAC. No counter offer, nothing! Wow, I'm not that bad a customer, spend is consumer average at about £31/month.0 -
Hi All
I'm currently out of contract on a simplicity tariff directly with o2. It seems that o2 cpw offer considerably better retention deals and so I would like to switch over. Does anyone have a telephone number for sales or retentions? Also, can anyone confirm whether o2 cpw tariffs are eligible for:- the £5 monthly discount for o2 broadband; and
- free picture messages, and free texts whilst roaming (by deducting 4 from the monthly text bundle allowance)?

Hello. I thought I would share my call to CPW-O2 today. I was on 800 anytime minutes, 800 texts, paid £35 monthly but with the cashback worked out £5 monthly. Found a deal on mobiles.co.uk with TMobile which is a Nokia 2330, 900 anytime minutes, unlimited texts, £35 - £560 cashback over the 18 months from Mobiles.co.uk and £50 Quidco cashback.
Phoned to give my 28 days notice and obtain code for porting. He started off asking why I was leaving and said the deal I got last year is not available as it cost the company too much money. Neither could he match the new deal which is fair enough, so I just requested the disconnection notice and the PAC code only to be told that I have to write to an office in Southampton.
Now I had called last week and the operator said, you have called a bit too early, call on 1 April. I was annoyed because if she had just said you will need to write, then I would have done so and posted the letter nearer the date I should have. Also he would not give me a PAC code, instead told me I would get it by text message when they deal with my letter.
He also told me that there is a strong chance my cashback with mobiles.co.uk may not be paid and that he would therefore afterall give me same deal I had previously (the one that had was no longer available, due to costing them money!) He said that cashback through "us" is guaranteed whereas cashback through mobiles.co.uk is not. I asked if both companies are more or less not the same thing but he said they are not.
SO....... Can't wait to get shot of O2 customer services at the Carphone Warehouse! But the point being, if they say your current priceplan is no longer available, it seems that it may actually be available after all!0
