MJTHFRC .... yup i'd try again .. make sure it's disconnections you speak to ... see if they volunteer the £475 cashback ... if not ...worth just saying ..." i'm aware that there is £475 available which is what i need in order for me to continue another 18 months .. otherwise i'll have to do the crazy thing of cancelling this contract with you now ... then going onto your website and being a new customer and ordering this same tariff with a cashback deal etc .. surely you're not going to make me do that ? " !!

Called back, asked for my PAC code and got through to disconnections.

With no prompting or haggling of any sort, the guy immediately offered me the exact same contract I'm currently on with £540 cashback over the 18 months.

    So...

    600+200 mins
    1000 texts
    £35 per month
    £540 cashback
    £5 per month net cost

I took it. That one was for my wife. Hope they offer the same to me when my contract's up in April! :T
  • Hey Guys

I was offered this and was wondering how stressful / unlikely to come through, CPW chequeback details were? I've googled it and there don't seem to be too many complaints other than by people who can't spell!

    Thanks

Never had a problem with them in 2 and a half years. They're a lot more relaxed about it than the other dodgier retailers. There's no time limit about when you send the claim in and you can send copies or e-printouts of bills. Cheques usually come through within 28 days of having sent it.
  • MJTHFC .... what can i say !! .. well done . Proves they change their attitude & deal by the day .
Does prove my point that it's best to keep trying to stay with what you've got .. saves a lot of hassle.

Couldn't believe it... Was prepared to take less minutes and texts as neither of us use that much and was fully ready for a haggling battle - but he just came out with it. Caught me totally off guard!!

On a seperate note, the missus dropped her phone yesterday and the screen no longer works - handy on the day her contract expires! Ordered a cheapo Nokia from them yesterday as they said it would be next day delivery. Been hanging around all day and turns out it's not been despatched yet by DHL. I was furious with them. Waiting for a call back to explain what's happened but not holding my breath!

Im outstanding £600 cashback for my contract just expired with O2 CPW.

I know that I need to send in month 6/12/18.

Can anyone please explain the correct process for sending them in, just so that I make sure I receive the £600. Many thanks.

    On another note:

I renewed my contract and they gave me on 18 month contract, 600 mins, 1 free bolt on (free internet), 1000 texts. £35 per month, with £540 cashback split into 3 sums. Equal to £5 per month after cashback. Happy with that, just hoping my previous outstanding cashback comes through !
  • im preety sure wen i did a cpw cashback thing i only had a 30day window to claim each bill. not sure if this is still the case.

I know in the past i just put the months in my phone on the calendar, so i would remember to do it.

I know they're quite relaxed about how long it takes you to send in your claims, but I'd be a bit worried that you've now renewed your contract. Why didn't you send in your claims nearer to the times they said??

They usually say that if you make any changes to your tariff then you can't claim and I'm not sure if a contract renewal counts as a tariff change.

Send copies or printouts of the 6, 12 and 18 month bills to the Redemptions address in Southampton. Make sure you send them 'signed for' too.
  • Do you think I would get the same deal as a new customer (i.e. not a renewal)? Is the deal with CPW or their subsidiary e2save? How do you think I should approach them?

    Many thanks for your views.
