Been with O2 CPW on 24 months contract for straight £5 per month (no cashback) for 600 mins and 1000 texts.
Coming to the end of 24 months so phoned customer services today and spoke to disconnections, they offered the following:
1) 18 months contract £20/months NO PHONE
275 mins, 250 text
WITH £300 CASHBACK (£100x3 at months 6, 12 & 18)
Works out £3.33 per month
or
2) 18 months contract £30/months NO PHONE
600 mins, unlimited text
WITH £450 CASHBACK (£150x3 at months 6, 12 & 18)
Works out £5.00 per month
or
3) 18 months contract £30/months NO PHONE
400 mins, unlimited text and 1 Bolt on (Internet, unlimited landline etc)
WITH £450 CASHBACK (£150x3 at months 6, 12 & 18)
Works out £5.00 per month
I opted for option 1 as it is sufficient for my usage. I am hoping that I won't have any problems with the cashback.
That's good to know. I need to call them in a couple of weeks, so i have something to compare against.
Personally i would go for Option 3 as that would work better for me.0 -

Option 3 would be perfect for me and the missus too. It's not quite the £1.33 I'm paying at the moment, but close enough for me.
Never had a problem with CPW cashback. It's their subsidiary companies that seem to have the issues.
Good info on this thread people - keep it up!! :j0 -
I'm confused why, if you are happy with your current deal and it does not involve cashback, are you tying yourself to a new 24 month contract for that deal.
I signed up for 400 mins 400 txt for £5 a month no cashback in October 2008 when I threatened to go PAYG and I am still on the same deal. I was also told provided I never change the deal that it will always stay the same.
I am not tied to a contract (well Iam as its always 1 months notice regardless so its a month by month contract).I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

orange £8.24 month
vodafone £10.44
t mob £11.24
o2 £12.24 ( being for 1200+ 3000)
or £ 8.99 for 600 + 3000
most being available from cpw companies with c£40 quidco etc .. and a cheap handset worth a few pounds on ebay.
Personally i wouldn't do any of these ! ... i'd get back on to disconnections and strive for the £475 cashback that then netts at £8.61 a month .
Personally would again say always used 2nd class recorded for about £1 .. (always keep a copy of bills so if any issue just send again ?? )
but in 5 years i've done over 50 cashback claims within the family and never once had a problem .
Each to their own though .
I might just go for the recorded in that case
I can't believe I didn't know of that website. It really is brilliant
How about £100 back @ TopCashback on the 800Mins 1600Texts + Bolt On
On the o2 £20 12 Month contract
= £11.66 again
It won't let me post the link
btw I'm waiting on my last CPW cashback
Would it be wise to leave at this moment in time?

More4 yes i agree it is a brilliant site ... very quick ... able to look at handset or minutes or company etc .. and i've always found it 99% accurate & up to date .
You didn't mention if you'd contacted disconnections again .
That looks quite a fair o2 deal.
On cashbacks ,... i normally get a text message just about a day after they receive my claim ... then about a week later another text saying it's approved and i should get it in about 30 days .
If it's anything more than about a week since you sent it .. i'd give them a ring.0 -

Say I've only just sent my cashback claim though and my 18 months are up
What would happen if I now call and ask for a Pac number?
Would that jeopardise my cashback?
Thanks again0 -
Would that jeopardise my cashback?
Sorry , don't know0 -
It won't if the full contract term is past.0

Atm with my best cashback offer being £420 on the £35 x18, 600mins, 500 texts + bolt on
= £11.66
I was in at the o2 shop today and the Simplicity 12 month, 800mins,800texts + Bolt on at £20 is available with 1 month free
= £18.33 over 12
Considering I have always sent my bills and cashback cover letters by Royal Mail Special Delivery at around £5 a pop.
4x cashback claims will cost me is £20
Meaning only £400 cashback
Which leaves the CPW 18 month offer at £12.77 for
600mins, 500 texts + bolt on
Paying £5.56 more with the o2 direct 12 month contract will get me
800mins, 800 texts + bolt on
With no cashback hassle plus I can change my bolt on
Cheers
Ok, I finally got around to calling. I was offered the £420 cashback deal...
£35 x18, 600mins + 500 texts + bolt on = £11.66 p/m
All based on loyalty points racked up and seeing as I never actually spend anything over the £35 that's the best deal they can offer me.
Will call back later for my PAC code and see where that gets me.
Good game, good game...0 -
MJTHFRC .... yup i'd try again .. make sure it's disconnections you speak to ... see if they volunteer the £475 cashback ... if not ...worth just saying ..." i'm aware that there is £475 available which is what i need in order for me to continue another 18 months .. otherwise i'll have to do the crazy thing of cancelling this contract with you now ... then going onto your website and being a new customer and ordering this same tariff with a cashback deal etc .. surely you're not going to make me do that ?
