Atm with my best cashback offer being £420 on the £35 x18, 600mins, 500 texts + bolt on
= £11.66
I was in at the o2 shop today and the Simplicity 12 month, 800mins,800texts + Bolt on at £20 is available with 1 month free
= £18.33 over 12
Considering I have always sent my bills and cashback cover letters by Royal Mail Special Delivery at around £5 a pop.
4x cashback claims will cost me is £20
Meaning only £400 cashback
Which leaves the CPW 18 month offer at £12.77 for
600mins, 500 texts + bolt on
Paying £5.56 more with the o2 direct 12 month contract will get me
800mins, 800 texts + bolt on
With no cashback hassle plus I can change my bolt on

More 4 .. don't do it !! .. can't be spending £18 a month !.
Bit later this evening i'll post a couple of better options.
ps my cashback claims i send 2nd class recorded . which is about £1. Never had a problem . Just had text today confirming they've received my last £200 claim i sent at the weekend .0 -
More 4 ..meanwhile have you rung them again and asked for disconnections ? .. to see if they offer you the £475 ?
also do you actually need 800 + 800 ?0 -
I've heard far too many stories of failed claims to risk recorded post, especially when it was 3x £200
I really might need the 800mins
Atm I've got the 600mins + 200mins
I was really peed at them when I bought myself a lovely new phone only to find out half way through an 18 that I couldn't change my bolt on (to data)
This is another reason why I wish to leave
Now I could get by with 600 but any time soon I will need 800 (usually when there's drama:D)
Simplicity is very tempting
Thank you vm for your advice
I'm very much looking forward to these better options :beer:0 -
Ive been with O2 carphonewarehouse for 18 months and come out of contract.
(they phoned last week 3 times but was very busy last week)
Phoned customer services today and they offered the following:
18 months contract £30/months NO PHONE
400 mins, 1000 text unlimited internet (subject to fair use he said???)
BUT WITH £450 CASHBACK
so works out at £5 a month
shall i go for it?
or is there other cashback deal which are similar/better?0 -

Sounds like the best deal that's been on here for a while! Everyone else is getting no better than £11p/m through cashback. It's half as many minutes as I currently have, but just checked my past usage and rarely go over 400 mins. Plus the internet would be perfect if I got a more internet friendly phone.
I'm going to haggle them into this deal unless anyone comes up with something better!!0 -
I'm just coming to the end of a 2 year deal where I was getting 400 mins and 400 texts for a straight £10 per month with no cashback.
When I called today I was offered £15 per month for 400 mins and 200 texts, said no and asked for my PAC code.
Then got put through to disconnections and was offered my current deal for another 24 months.
Other options were £15 per months for the above plus unlimited internet or £25 per month for the above, internet and a Nokia 6303 plus £250 cashback, equivalent to £14.50 per month.
I've done loads of cashback deals in the past but it is very nice and easy just paying £10 per month without the hassle of making sure you remember to send bills in etc.
E2save do offer better deals than this but they are all cashback.
There's no doubt with CPW that you have to get past the standard sales team to the retentions dept. - the guy freely admitted that the sales team don't have the authority to offer the same deals that they do.0 -
more4 using the brilliant mobilephonechecker.co site ... based on having more than ....800+800 the best nett costs are
orange £8.24 month
vodafone £10.44
t mob £11.24
o2 £12.24 ( being for 1200+ 3000)
or £ 8.99 for 600 + 3000
most being available from cpw companies with c£40 quidco etc .. and a cheap handset worth a few pounds on ebay.
Personally i wouldn't do any of these ! ... i'd get back on to disconnections and strive for the £475 cashback that then netts at £8.61 a month .
Personally would again say always used 2nd class recorded for about £1 .. (always keep a copy of bills so if any issue just send again ?? )
but in 5 years i've done over 50 cashback claims within the family and never once had a problem .
Each to their own though .0 -
BB8520 on 24 months contract with 800 min / 1000 txt / unlimited internet on CB deal coming out at 19/month.
Good or bad??
Orange do the BB9700 on 24month with 900min / unlt txt and unlt internet for 25.
Only thing is O2 is better in my experience (been with them for three years and also travel in europe so like the inclusive txt)0 -
Been with O2 CPW on 24 months contract for straight £5 per month (no cashback) for 600 mins and 1000 texts.
Coming to the end of 24 months so phoned customer services today and spoke to disconnections, they offered the following:
1) 18 months contract £20/months NO PHONE
275 mins, 250 text
WITH £300 CASHBACK (£100x3 at months 6, 12 & 18)
Works out £3.33 per month
or
2) 18 months contract £30/months NO PHONE
600 mins, unlimited text
WITH £450 CASHBACK (£150x3 at months 6, 12 & 18)
Works out £5.00 per month
or
3) 18 months contract £30/months NO PHONE
400 mins, unlimited text and 1 Bolt on (Internet, unlimited landline etc)
WITH £450 CASHBACK (£150x3 at months 6, 12 & 18)
Works out £5.00 per month
I opted for option 1 as it is sufficient for my usage. I am hoping that I won't have any problems with the cashback.0
