Were you offered any other deals before you pointed out other offers on their website ?
Thanks0 -
Thats basically the same discounts i managed with the samsung tocco ultra , free web bolt on and £5 off per month. Oh and £50 cashback at 6 months which took some haggling! lol!0

I've been on a 12 months free (12 month contract) for almost 2 years now, and thinking it may be impossible to get them to offer this again.
I am on o2's £40 per month tarrif (before cashback), and get 600 minutes and 500 texts.
Anyone else been able to get this again recently ?? - Or similar.
Thanks in advance,0 -
I was on a 12 months free last year , i'd already taken out another contract with orange and they (cpw on O2) gave me 12 x £25 per month credit into my account with them so i didn't have to do any redemptions or anything it was just free. I never even used it , it was just to keep the account open.
This time i was told they couldn't do anything like that as it now went on 'loyalty points' and having those 12 months free had used up most of my points.
So it doesn't look like they're are gonna do it over and over.

Think thats easier to get, problem with arena is its a brand new phone whereas tocco is a little older than it.
Not to mention orange are openly offering it for 25 quid a month on CPW... so easy to get 25 quid a month. I tried the tocco ultra but wasnt impressed, ultimately would've liked iphone but not forking out 35 quid a month for it when i can get 25 quid a month with arena, ill manage :P
Tried to get it for 18 month 600 mins 1000 texts but he said he couldnt do it and tbh the 400 mins 500 texts will actually do me, so was good result.
My tactic was upfront and quick, i basically said I wanted to cancel get my pac number so i could get a tariff from mobiles.co.uk... I then said I'm after 25 quid per month, 18 month cntract, lg arena and free web bolt on.
He tried to sell insurance at 12 quid a month when tariff was 25 a month.... as well. but worked pretty well. You might be right, might've got 50 quid cashback over course if i pushed it but not sure if i could've done it. claiming back 15 quid every 6 months is nice, but not big money ifykwim. But grats on it.

hi all ,
been reading this thread with interest.
With so many phones out there i'm not sure which are any good?
I currently have the SE walkman phone which i hate! Keeps switching itself off! on
£35pm 750 texts & 750 mins
anyway.....which are the best phones out there for me to negotiate as my phone is due for upgrade/contract ends....
I don't like Samsung. I'd quite like an iphone but not sure the tariffs are good value for money.
thanks xx
Quidco to date = £1224 cashback

Neas,
you got what you wanted then so fairplay. doesn't sound like many people are at the moment with all the bill swapping thats going on.
I had the hard sell on the insurance too , £12 a month! as if! lol! especially when i knew it would be going straight on ebay anyway!
The tocco ultra and the arena were both released in late march weren't they? so should be on equal par for uprgrading. The tocco ultra is actually a dearer handset. I know a couple on this thread have tried to blag a good deal on it and CPW wouldn't let them have it! I think it depends if you get someone on the end of the phone that wants to play ball half the time , pot luck really.
I only have to send one bill in at six months to get the full £50 , glad i don't have to do it 3 times as i'm poo for remembering the dates for these things! I think i got that as i was hesitating due to having a few months left on my orange mobile so it was to cover that really.0 -
i just seen the new iphone released too. While its notthing special imo in terms of an upgrade (faster processors and more memory/ 3mg camera) i had hoped iphone would drop in price.
Nope, o2 website just bolted on the other brands adding more to price lol.0 -
Just phoned to 'cancel', and was offered 11 months free on a 12 month contract with o2 with 400 minutes and 500 texts per month (via Cashback).
Or 16 months free on a 18 month contract.
This is keeping my existing handset.
What you you think about this ? - I am coming to the end of my 2nd year on 12 month free, 12 month contracts.

I just noticed 'neas' post above - £450 cashback on £40 tarrif (total for year after cashback £30) - This is better than I was offered.
I may go back to them and try again0
