I recently called Disconnections to cancel the contract.

I was offered same as last year's deal - 12 months free, with complete cashback and cashback can be claimed anytime (No need to adhere to strict time rules for sending cashback paperwork and cashback guarantee).

How many minutes did you get on this one ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I asked for internet add-on and was offered 18 months offer, with effective £5/month offer.. I did not want 18 months offer, so went for 12 months complete cashback with no handset.

    Good going! i24-14.jpg

Contract was just up to be renewed, when I phoned they said they really had nothing, but after haggling, managed to get the following:-

    12 Month Contract
    600 Mins
    1000 Texts
    £40.00 Per Month
    £450.00 Cash back at Months 4, 8 & 12.

    Very Pleased.

Thanks to this CPW/O2 Forum, it really does help everyone, so cheers to everyone.

Are you sure it's 12 months? I hope you got that in writing.

hi, about 12 months ago my dad got a retention deal for £5 a month for 24 months (no cashback just billed £5) and got something like 300mins and 100 txt. Ive only just found out this stopped a few months back and CPW are refusing to aknowledge the deal (saying he was never billed £5 despite the bills saying otherwise and that they have no record of the phone call). They're blatantly lying(or their computers are) as they refuse to even admit they billed him £5 for 7 months of the deal, ive got my parents searching for a letter of the offer but it was all over the phone so don't know if they had one, they do have all the bills though.
anyone got any advice or should i get them to contact otelo (if these are the right people?).

I just got a new deal through retentions , think it's a decent one. Got the new samsung tocco ultra on a 24 month contract
    400 mins
    unlimited texts
    umlimited internet
    £50 cashback at 6 months
    for £25 a month

although i'm selling the tocco and getting a iphone , my card will go in there just won't be able to use the wifi which is fine i'll just use the regular connection. I did enquire about getting a new iphone with the official i phone tariff but there was no negotiating with that one at all , something about being swapped from cpw to O2 so they don't gain.

My current contract is due to expire in July.

The current one is a loyalty offer I was offered last year.

12 months free on a 12 month contract (via cashback).

Does anyone know if they are still offering these when trying to cancel ? - and how much haggling is actually required ?

    Thanks

My o2 cpw contract ends next month also, uptil now ive been on 100mins and 100 txt for £25 which was full refunded by a £300 credit at the start of the 12month contract.

If i upgrade now will i still be a cpw customer or will i be moved to o2direct, just i heard o2 does all the bills themselves now.

Anyway has anyone been offered a decent upgrade deal, i`m looking for a new sony phone as mines knackered now but i might consider moving to a PAYG now the recession is bitting.

What sort of deals have people been offered?

I'm now into my upgrade period, and am looking to get a SE C905 anybody, any good ideas how to go about this.

    My current contract is;

    200mins
    200texts
    Free web bolt on

£25 per month, 12 month contract.

Oh and I do realise that I shall be in an 18 month contract. I have seen the phone on vodafone for £25pm, not 100% sure whether to switch but would rather just stay with O2.

Called disconnections (went through as if i was requesting my PAC code), nice guy answered really good fellow.

I basically pointed out the deals on mobiles.co.uk and then got this deal:

    LG Arena
    18 Month Contract
    £25 per month
    400 Mins
    500 Texts
    Free Web Bolt on

Pretty chuffed myself, my average usage for minutes is about 140 a month and 250 texts a month so should be fine.

Thanks all for the help :)

Key discounts were free web bolt on (7.50) and 5.00 knocked off 'per monthage'
