Ive been with CPW & 02 for 4 years now, and looking for upgrade- im out of contract so could go elsewhere but generlaly v happy with CPW/ 02.

However, I dont want a 18 month contract at all, I'll only consider 12ms.
im not a massive user and they have offered me 200mins ( too little) with 400 tests ( willnever use these) with the nookia 6300 which Ive got at the moment- its ok but Id really prefer a phone with sat nav.

This is quite crap isnt it?

how much is your contract offered... the phone is pretty useless to be honest... its nice but quite basic. try 5800, LG may have some phones (genreally cheaper than sony samsung nokia etc)... or try sony ericson w760i.. the renoir and w760i should be a bit cheaper. than the others like omnia by samsung..

seeing as you've been with them you should be able to get a better deal.

JUST A TIP: if you go to mobiles.co.uk ( its part of CPW) and ask which phones come with auto cashback you will know what sort of prices you are aiming for when you call retentions.

how much are they charging you for the deal mentioned ? is it auto reduction or redemption via cashback

    Got offered the following deals.

    18 Months

    Nokia 5800
    400 mins/1000 texts + Bolt On - £30p/m + £300 Cashback by Redemption.
    600 mins/1000 texts + Bolt On - £35p/m + £300 Cashback by Redemption.

If auto redemption take off £10 p/m

    12 Months
    No phone
    400 mins/1000 texts - £35p/m - £420 redemption (12 months free)
    600 mins/1000 texts - £40p/m - £480 redemption (12 months free)

If auto redemption take off £15 p/m

Looks like you got a got deal with the £20 off p/m if you want the 5800.

Not sure what to do (I have a K850i) which does the job. Was tempted by the web and stuff on the 5800 but 18 months is 18 months and the thought of a free contract is tempting.

I presume with auto cash back as he never suggested any redemption to me.
Would prefer auto CB - have got the 6300 already as you say its alright, but not great, really.

Im shopping around a bit now though, thanks will look at mobiles.co.uk x

Its only when my phone gives up the ghost I realise I should have spent more time hunting out a deal as it seems a total minefiled out there atm

    12 Months
    No phone
    400 mins/1000 texts - £35p/m - £420 redemption (12 months free)
    600 mins/1000 texts - £40p/m - £480 redemption (12 months free)

thats a fantastic deal... i always like getting a phone upgrade... so i think my 1200 mins is a good price although it would have been great to get it all in for 20 pounds.

i previoussly am on 800 mins but most months i go over my minutes and then the bill comes up to stagering amouts. for that reason i went for a higher tariff.

the k850i is a brill phone but the nokia 5800 and the new phones are much superior. like big screen, iplayer, wifi etc... and if u get teh web bolt on then its all amazing. with the 5800 yo get 1 free year to download as much songs as you want... so for the next year i can get free music... which saves a few pounds.....

at the moment Ive got the 6300 which is 24 quid a month- recently downgraded from 35pm. I got this about 18ms ago with the free telly/dvdplayer/freeview unit for the bedroom. This IIRC was about 600 mins 200 texts which I never get anywhere near using, although i think the 24 quid a month is less mins - ie about 400

How ashamed am I as a moneysaver that im not sure what Im actually paying for :o

My boyfriend and i are now paying 9.97 per month to get 1000 texts, 400 mins and ulimited internet on a sim only contract thingy. We both have quite nice phones, and i dont wanna pay out for a 35 pounds a month contract to get a better phone.

I didnt think that was bad, were saving in total 600 pounds a year and getting more for our money. Nice man we spoke to aswell.

I don't think the 5800 is available as a comes with music phone yet in the UK, so no free downloads for a year unfortunately. I originally thought this was the case as well but after reading some of the support forums on nokia.co.uk, it seems it isn't, either that or I've been cheated out of a year of downloads!!Lol
